Great Office Lamp!
This is the perfect grow light for my office and the succulents I keep there! I have the light on an outlet timer, and so far it seems to be working! My plants already look perkier, so I think they are liking the light as well. The double head is specifically why I purchased this lamp, it basically doubles the amount of plants I can have, so I will definitely be bringing more into the office! The lamp does not get hot with extended use, though I do have my timer set to turn off for 15 minutes every 5 hours per the directions.

Not ideal as supplemental lighting for succulents/cacti
According to the manual, this grow light produces 300lm with max rated power of 12W. Succulents and cacti need about 2,000 lumens to thrive. I've been using this lamp as supplemental lighting since I live in the Northeast US. Previously I was using a high pressure sodium lamp - this lamp was definitely more effective but ran hot and pulled about 150W (don't remember the lumens rating). Since switching to this LED lamp, my cacti and succulents have definitely etiolated.I think this grow light would work best for supplemental lighting for sprouts and plants native to your area that need a little extra to adjust for cloudy days and the shorter daylight times of winter. The manual recommends running it in cycles of 5 hours on, a few minutes off. I've ignored this and run it for about 10-12 hours a day hooked up to a timer. I haven't noticed any issues (but obviously if it dies early on me, I'll know why!). The plug-in bit gets hot after several hours of running so that's probably where the cycling recommendation comes from.

Not a bad grow lamp to invest in
It has been about 2 months since I had purchased this grow lamp and I have to say this has indeed helped me with propagating lots of succulents. It’s light and comes with its own usb adaptor & it does not use much electricity wattage so I could leave it on for 12hrs a day & the lamp doesn’t get hot to touch either. But being a low wattage lamp, of course the succulents I’m trying to propagate requires more energy, so what I do is I have it as close as possible to my trays of propagation. I tested on 4 round containers (picture Philadelphia Cream Cheese container size) and placed them 2 under each lamp. Works good enough to have my Jades sprouting out pups within a matter of weeks!I was surprised and definitely will reconsider buying more if I don’t get tempted to try other grow lights for my plants.

Great light. Bought 2 for chaeto reactor.
I bought one then a second. I don't know how well they are for SMALL house plants but don't see how they wouldn't grow under this light. I am using 2 of these for a chaeto reactor for my reef aquarium. Chaeto is a type of algae that consumes waste for the aquarium the natural way. I was going to buy cheap rolled led lights that people wrap their reactors with but found out many are having heat issues and bursting their reactors because they are wrapped and the heat is in direct contact with the reactor. No heat with these. These are the perfect amount of light that so far is out competing my very expensive main display led light. A note though is that I have these about 1-2 inches from the chaeto. Very satisfied.

It can grow seedlings
I've been using this plant light for a week now to help some seedlings along. It's definitely working because one of my older seedlings grew its first pair of true leaves since I introduced the grow light and it looks like it's starting to take off. The oldest seedling is enjoying the light and I have some newly germinated seeds that are rising out of the soil and moving toward the light. The oldest seedling is short and not leggy and looks healthy.I leave it on for 16 hours a day and so far no problems, the lights don't get hot. I noticed that the joint that connects the light with a connectors gets a little bit hot but not very. Another reviewer said that the electrical output gets hot and I have experienced this as well but when I touch it it doesn't feel so hot where I would be concerned. If something happens I will update in the future regarding it but so far so good. The connectors to the light are sturdy and I like that you can gradually move them up as the plant grows. As you can see from the pictures the seedlings are growing in a corner with no windows with any supplemental sunlight the grow light alone has been working for them. I haven't tried this light yet on a bigger plant which might need supplemental lighting from a window, but so far for growing the seedlings that's all the light they've been getting and they're doing pretty well. Definitely a great light to start some seeds. Will definitely keep this manufacturer in mind for an upgrade in grow lights.Follow up 7/2/18:Seedlings are doing well under these lights, I had a control group growing in the natural sun outside and the ones under the lights are taking off faster. They love the lights and the oldest seedling is looking great!

I'm so happy with this product - my cactus was losing color ...
I've only had this for about five days and I noticed improvement in my cactus after just the first day. I'm so happy with this product - my cactus was losing color due to me having it in the incorrect pot, and lack of sunlight for months. I live in a basement unit with little to no sunlight reaching my room, but now he is greener than ever! The clip makes it easy to attach anywhere, at any distance from your plant + the two lamps allow you to reach every angle of your plant. The only thing I'm worried about is what other people have said as far as the bulbs going out after a month - I haven't gotten to this point yet but I'm hoping that's not the case. I would definitely recommend getting this if your plants need some extra light
