Misfits by Eliza Gilkyson

I never purchased a Gilkyson CD after Misfits because I was so disappointed. The songs are repetitious and dreary
I was a fan until I purchased this CD. I never purchased a Gilkyson CD after Misfits because I was so disappointed. The songs are repetitious and dreary. Her voice is irritating and strained. I never thought she had a good voice but her songs had redeeming qualities. All of that is gone on this CD. In addition, the instruments and recording quality are abrasive. I listened to this CD a couple of times when I purchased it years ago and hated it. Yesterday I tried it again because I wanted to hear something different. It is still a waste of polycarbonate. This CD is a long way downhill from Pilgrims or Legends of Rainmaker.

Great CD. Full of melodic songs you will love to listen to over and over again.
This is Eliza in her early days. Even then, you could hear and see the talent this lady possesses. I can't figure out why others have given her less than 5 stars. This CD is great. The music is soothing and her songs tell stories that will melt your heart. If you like Eliza, y will not be sorry to have this CD in your collection.

Good songs, sung and played well
I just listened to this album for the first time and found it to be a very satisfying listen. Good songs, sung and played well, with excellent production. Recommended. I'm scratching my head trying to figure out where that 1-star review came from.

One of music's best-kept secrets
Eliza Gilkyson's the real deal. Excellent voice, achingly good songs. It's a bittersweet crime that she's not more well-known.
