Enlightenment through Music
The challenging part about reading a book by an enlightened being is that the author is writing from an experience of consciousness (non-duality) that is impossible for the ego (duality) to comprehend. However, Hazrat Inayat Khan's writing is easily understood and could be valuable to both spiritual aspirants on the path to enlightenment and/or musicians looking for deeper levels in their artistry. This is a book to be studied, not just read. In it are keys to understanding the mysticism of sound, music, color, words, and silence.

Good Vibrations
Inayat Khan brought Sufism to the West and he was not only a spiritual teacher but also an accomplished musician. This wonderful book explores the power of sound from the cosmos to your own voice.

How the sound of vibrations can change your life
A master book about the influence of vibrations (music) in our life, the meaning of love in our heart and how we are all connected to everything. Very simple and clear writing. I am not a sufi follower, but the teachings of HIK definitively touched my heart deeply. This man was a real mystic human being beside his background (just my feeling) A real surprise will be waiting for youd in his writings I do recommend this book specially to improve our view of the modern way of life ( internet, social networks, videos, lots of working hours... etc)

The book arrived with a dent in upper left cover though I've heard the contents are excellent.
Disappointed, had intended to give this as a gift. Must remember to always check local book stores first so I can see the quality of what I'm purchasing.

Profound elucidation of secrets to finding God in yourself
Mindblowing artful metaphor about subjects impossible to be written or spoken about, subjects which can only experienced for oneself to get close to the truth of reality. Masterfully instructive, get your highlighter ready, and prepare to reread this book of incalculable treasure.

This book is one of the more astounding book I've ever read. I bought it as a musician and for musical insight purposes, but it is in fact far more than this. While Iyanat Khan emphasizes the musical aspect of all existence, it advocates the true secret of the universe, which is made of vibrations, tones and rhythm. It transcends all religious school and fit with scientist point of view as well. This book can truly change radically the way you perceive yourself and the universe. Beautiful and Marvelous.
