Very good, but language may be rough at times for some..
Actually a very good book with good art. Great story. Keeps you hooked. My only problem really with the whole thing and why I only gave 4 stars is the F-Bomb (language) and GD-Bomb (language) getting used very frequently. I realize there is cursing to "legitimize" the lead character and his stress/confusion, etc, but it made it difficult at times to enjoy the story.

Absolutely Incredible Cosmic Horror
The artwork is amazing and the story is engrossing. The hardback Edition is so freakin beautiful and sturdy, it blew my mind. Well worth the extra money.

Well worth the wait....
Wondrously and powerfully illustrated this book was all I hoped it would be and more. The tale is about a man who chooses power and fame over ethics and dooms the world to a nightmare that's destroying the world. He's unleashed the end of the world and has to find the means to set things right. The horrors he faces seem insurmountable and his allies are not too trusting of him even as they know he's the only chance they have of surviving what faces them. There's some back and forth in the time line but it delivers in the end. Lauffray's story and art, with a crisp and evocative script by Xavier Dorison, keeps the pacing lively. I normally have a problem with the shifting time lines but by the time I got the end the resolution made it worth it.The artist and writer of Long John Silver bring the same dedication to making exotic settings and characters being tied well to very human passions and flaws. This book is a collection of what were four graphic novels, now collected in to one volume. There's a strong H.P.Lovecraft and Robert Howard kind of vibe in the undercurrent of this tale. While the influence is there it's not overt, more like a homage to the spirit in both the narrative and visual aspects, a fine, dark fantasy/horror.

but a pretty decent story
I was pleasantly surprised with this book. It is simple, but a pretty decent story. I enjoyed the art style.

Handsome book
Well made and nicely presented - good artwork. Story began well and seemed to run out of ideas - with the tedious "Star Trek" episode thing of 'instant solution' at the end.

Tolle Graphic Novel
