Perfect companion for a Joule sous vide
I bought this container to use with my Joule sous vide (I think they have been rebranded as Breville), and it has worked perfectly. The cutout in the lid fits the Joule exactly, which helps keep everything stable while it’s cooking. One of the biggest advantages is that the lid dramatically reduces water evaporation. Even during long cooks, I don’t have to worry about adding water like I did when using a regular pot. The included rack and system also works very well. They keep the bags separated and prevent the meat from floating, which helps ensure everything cooks evenly without having to improvise with clips or heavy utensils. The container itself feels sturdy, is easy to clean, and has made sous vide cooking much more convenient. If you own a Joule and are still using another container, this is a worthwhile upgrade that makes the entire process easier.

Excellent sous vide container.
Perfect container for 6 large sirloins. I love the fact you don’t need a clamp and how the lid ensures full submersion at all times. Buy this now it’s great.

It actually makes a difference!
I had been using a soup pot I bought on amazon for $40 for years. It worked great (or at least, I thought it did). I was accustomed to removing the foil and topping it up before bed so that water level wouldn't drop too low, and I lived with the fact that the max water line was over the top of the pot. The food usually sunk to the bottom of the pot, so I never really worried about having to keep it down. Then food became really expensive and Costco had good discounts on brisket. The brisket didn't fit in my pot even after cutting it in half, so I decided it's time to upgrade. I paid more for the piece of plastic than I did the 20 pound brisket, but I figured I got myself into this mess and it's a hopefully one time purchase to get myself out. I cooked the brisket, it came out great, but it's too greasy a cut of meat for me to make more than once a year, so I guess I didn't need to upgrade. That being said, it IS an upgrade. I cooked that brisket for 51 hours and didn't top the water up once. The plastic tray kept it fully submerged (which was great because it was too big and kept trying to pop up), and now next I sous vide some ribs I won't have to cut them into 3 segments to keep them from poking up through the top of the pot. $100 is still more than I wanted to pay (that's why I stuck with the $40 soup pot for years), but this container really is nice. I'll probably still use the pot for my twice-weekly chicken breast cooks because the plastic container takes up much more counter space, but for ribs and any other overnight cooks this plastic container is definitely going to be my go-to from now on.

Again good quality and accuracy. Not a cheap plastic, very good construction of both.
I cook with sous vide and this container is perfect size and most of all the top of the lid helps keep food from coming to the top. The new design is worth buying because it gives you the advantage of both holding and keeping food down.

Excellent Sous vide container.
Excellent container for sous vide. The lid keeps in the moisture so the container doesn’t run dry. Only one complaint I wish the legs attaching the plastic unit together were tighter fitting so the tray wouldn’t come apart when putting it in the water above your meat. I glued the tray together and it worked great. It’s a perfect size.
