Starship for Sale

The story is well written with good characters. The start was a bit slow and I couldn't believe we were using 'the last starfighter' premise of doing well on a video game..It was a shame the ending was open although another book is on the way.Probably aimed at younger audiences. Four stars for the writing and keeping me interested throughout but I won't get the follow up.

A very different slant on the space adventure theme. Two young men virtually thrown into space on a manic chase through different environments, encountering surprising characters and situations. I can't wait to pick up the next book.

Really enjoyed this first book.The relationship between Matt and Ben feels very genuine.I enjoyed the build up the starship, I was disappointed when it ended, so I need the second book!!

Great characters but I quickly started to feel that the two young chaps were, shall we say, attracted to each other! That assumption was somewhat dispelled as the story evolved. A simple plot but many humorous moments. Yes, it was a good read and there has to be a 2nd follow up? If so, I will definitely buy it.

Echoes of the movie, The Last Star Fighter, are deliberate. I know because I've read book 2 already. The fast paced space action,imaginative and unique universe background and a surprising young hero has me wanting to read more of this authors tales. Heartily recommend.

Was expecting scifi from the outset but liked the more normal setting to start. From there on in it was full of great characters, lots of action, fun and a great story.

Written for the younger audience I suspect. Story good and easy going but predictable. Not sure that I want to bother with number 2.
