I bake a lot of bread and have had a lot of trouble slicing the loaves evenly. This makes the job a lot easier. There is a bit of practice to using it and it is important to hold the bread firmly in place to get the slices even. It is a bit difficult because the unit has a tendency to slide around. I am going to put some no skid fabric under it and I think that will do the trick. You have to remove each slice as you cut as opposed to some I have seen that you can put the whole loaf in and slice several pieces at the same time. For a small batch of bread, however, this works just fine.

Works well except made of plastic so eventually the knife slices into the plastic.

I received the bread slicing guide yesterday, and it's pretty good. It's made of ABS plastic, which is pretty tough stuff, and it's rigid enough that it doesn't feel flimsy. Furthermore, there are no sharp mold flashings.The bread stop can be put into one of four slots to set slice widths of: 2.2cm (0.87"), 1.7cm (0.67"), 1.2cm (0.47"), 0.7cm (0.27"). It isn't mentioned, but simply removing the stop produces a slice width of 1.05".So far, I've only cut slices with the thinnest setting (0.27"), but thin slices are the most challenging, and the most revealing of slicing errors. Four perfect slices, and one wedgie, which I attribute to newbie operator error.The entrance gate is 4-5/8" w, 6-1/8" h, so loaves wider than 4-5/8" would have to be placed on their side. That's probably the weakest aspect of the design.So generally good results from this appliance, but my Japanese Tojiro bread knife gets some of the credit.

I like thin bread but I can not cut a consistent then slice with this cutter. It starts out the right size at the top but it cuts a wedge shape and comes out in the middle of the loaf and after that no piece is correct unless you cut a thick piece to get a square end again wasting many slices

It is too small to use with a loaf from my bread machine.

Sure makes it nice to slice bread evenly !!!

It is simple and compact. It is made of fragile plastic though and does the bread from our machine does not quite fit in it

I love this slicer! It cuts perfectly even slices and adjusts from thick to very thin slices. No more uneven, oddly shaped slices.
