I bought this thread because I free motion quilt. My biggest challenge is staying supplied with fabric and batting so I can practice some of the designs I quilt. And then, I have to basically throw away my practice pieces. It can get expensive and make it so you don't practice as much as you need to. When I first saw this featured on a YouTube video, I knew I'd found my solution! I made a large practice piece that fits on my Cutie Frame. I sewed it up on the sides and a few vertical lines so I could throw it in the washer. I loaded this thread in my bobbin and started quilting. After I filled up the entire practice piece with designs, I flipped it over, sprayed the bobbin side, and YAY! the "thread" completely dissolved and I was able to pull out the top thread with little to no effort... even on areas that I had quilted over numerous times such as pebbles and feathers! I washed it just to floof up the batting again, and now I'm able to use the practice piece again! The thread looks and feels almost like a good quality cotton thread and I didn't have any breakage issues. I think I was expecting a monofilament type thread that wouldn't stand up to the stress of Free Motion Quilting. Not the case at all. I'm very very pleased with this purchase and am almost done with my first spool (which is a LOT!). I will definitely reorder. NOTE Store it in a plastic bag so it stays dry, and don't get the bobbin mixed in with your other bobbins! Like I said, it looks and feels like thread so it's hard to tell the difference! You don't want to use it thinking it is regular thread only to wash it and have it dissolve!

I wish I had thought about this stuff 10 years ago. Works well and is Awesome for taking up/shortening costumes. Wash and dry and the costume is ready for hemming/anltering again next season. Easy to machine sew.

Just what I needed in my piecing for my quilts that I make.

I needed this thread for practicing free motion quilting before I launch into working on my project. I bought a skill builder to quilt, and it was recommended that I purchase this thread. When I fill up the piece with stitches, I can mist and dissolve the stitches. Great idea! Kind of expensive, but hopefully I’ll learn and I won’t need a lot of it.

I thought I was buying 5,000 metres of water soluble thread. I got 2,000 metres and it cost me nearly $50.00 Would not buy it again at that price.
