It is DEFINITELY Pecan!
Its hard to find a good pecan coffee these days but this one is 1 of the better I have tried. Will order again.

Not that strong
I thought I'd try it to compare it with the Texas Pecan from Lola Savannah Coffee Co. It's pretty good but not as strong or finely ground as Lola Savannah, but it less expensive.

Smooth, Excellent Pecan Flavor
In my long search for a replacement for the Dean and DeLuca Charlotte Blend no longer available, I've found one I like better. This is a much stronger flavor but not overpowering in the least, just a really good flavored coffee that holds up to adding cream. In fact, I tried using it half with Kirkland Morning Blend and it made a wonderful blend for something different. Every time I open the pantry door, I smell this and love it. My only preference would have been for a slightly less coarse grind for my Mellita single cup filter. The grind works well in a percolator, French press, and drip pot just fine though since it seems to be a small batch grind with different size particles. I'd class it as a good medium roast Arabica. Definitely buying regularly now.

Some people might say 5 stars
I only gave 3 stars because I don't like the taste I'm sure some people would love it and give it 5 stars but everyones tastes are different the coffee itself is good quality so I recommend trying it for yourself because you might love it and give it a 5 star review

I really want to like this coffee
I really want to like this coffee, because I'm from the Queen City, but sadly, this is just not that good. First, it doesn't smell or taste like Highlander Grogg which is an epic fail right there. Second, I can kind of understand what another reviewer wrote about it tasting burnt. I don't know if it's actually burnt or just too dark, but it is bitter, and not very good. I ended up mixing it in with a bag of Cameron's and a bag of Christopher Bean (both of which are fairly good. I like the Grogg flavor of Cameron's better, but I like the coffee of Christopher Bean better.) Christopher Bean Coffee Highlander Grogg Ground, 12 Ounce Cameron's Ground Coffee, Highlander Grog, 12 Ounce (packaging may vary)

Horrible smell!
I figured I was in for a bad experience when I first took a whiff of this coffee and encountered a sharp, unpleasant CHEMICAL smell, not even a hint of what I would call "coffee smell."So, I brewed a pot of this, trying to give it a chance to turn into an actual cup of coffee, and the odor never went away. If this is what these folks think Southern Pecan smells like, they should actually come to The South and have some pecans! This was a complete waste of money, and I was unable to return it. I just threw the whole pot down the sink, and I plan to toss the rest of the bag into my compost pile. Please, whatever you are using to mimic Southern Pecan, ditch it, it is just horrible.
