The stones are cut in a faceted cut that looks like a modified rose cut - with facets rounding up to a flat table. This gives the earrings a more low profile look, as the stones do not stick out as much from the settings. Hematite has a unique steely-black color and is mined as the mined as the main ore of iron. Hematite is said to have a stabilizing effect, grounding the wearer to the earth, and is said to offer the wearer protection and decrease negativity. These earrings are small.
