I purchased these plates for a small November wedding. We had a tight budget and rental fees for plates and such just wasn't in the cards. But, we didn't want to compromise pulling off a simple, elegant event. We explored "high quality" plastic plates, but ultimately thought they just looked cheap. I never knew these existed until they popped up in a search on Amazon for "disposable plates". I was intrigued. My fiance was skeptical. I carefully read all the reviews and thought they were worth the gamble of at least ordering to see what they looked like in person. And, they actually looked like they did in the picture. Our wedding featured Persian fare (think heavy rice and kabobs) so we wanted to make sure that the plates were as strong as they seemed from the reviews.Once we got them, we were pretty sure we had a winner. Both of us. The skeptic was won over. They were large (perhaps the square size helped make them seem a bit larger than a standard round plate?) and were perfect for the long kabobs and we felt relatively confident that they were going to be strong enough. We opened only one pack to check them out because reviews suggested they might mold (as a natural product). That said, we did note that in the pack we opened that there were about 5-6 plates that wouldn't be usable due to cracks. That didn't bother me so much because I expected that (from the reviews and because it's a natural product), but, what did concern me is that I didn't want to open the rest to see how many were good for reasons I already stated but, I certainly didn't want an 11th hour disaster if we didn't have enough when we DID open them. I contacted the vendor who responded very quickly and thoroughly. She sent us an extra pack "just in case" which gave me peace of mind. She also provided tips on how to store the pack we did open to avoid issues.Ultimately, they were a hit. We had enough (with the extra pack) and they held up beautifully (even with some people making multiple trips to the buffet). We hadn't originally intended to go this route, but buying these sort of created an eco-friendly theme for us for the wedding overall. The result was an organic, pretty, natural design with olive branches, rosemary and fresh lavender for decor on tables and on our cake. Other elements were eco-friendly as well except for the silverware (purchased cheap and then donated to a local charity afterwards). We got a number of questions and compliments on them. And the best part? Clean up was a BREEZE!I'd absolutely purchase these again and highly recommend. They are pretty (not sure if a plate can be "pretty", but I thought so), unique and aren't going to sit in a landfill for 945 years. What's not to love? Look, some will be cracked ... they aren't plastic and stuff happens. But they are so affordable that it'd be easy to buy an extra back up pack to have on hand. Customer service was phenomenal which is a rarity these days.

I wanted to find a pretty place setting option for Thanksgiving and these surpassed my expectations! Sturdy, beautiful and feel like wood. Every plate was a little different pattern due to the natural materials, which I loved! Everyone commented on them and wanted the link and NO WASHING DISHES! Although they're so pretty, I felt a little bad throwing them away. Will definitely purchase again!

These are truly attractive if you’re looking for something that’s somewhat unique with a natural or slightly rustic look. They were perfect for my purposes, so I bought them in 2 sizes. I would buy them again!

Was looking for disposable plates that didn’t look so - disposable? The unique look of these I think draws away from them not being actual glass plates for a nicer event. And the fact that they’re compostable is a huge bonus!

I purchased to use at Thanksgiving. They were a great size and arrived in great shape. I would recommend.

Very sturdy. Great for an event with apps like mini meatballs. No slip sliding and can standup to 90 minutes of wear.

I really liked that each plate had a different design. Many of the guests commented on them favorably. They are very sturdy. We didn't save them as I was too tired to washing them after our big family birthday. So I don't know how long they'd last with repeated washings. Luckily we have a few unused left over and I'm planning on reusing them.
