This sword style was in service for centuries as the best equipped army in the world in Roman times. It's perfect for home defense if you aren't into guns. It's as real as it gets but you might want to put a better edge on it. The shorter blade can be swung in tight quarters tighter than a katana and it's tip would pierce even a heavily clothed intruder. Wish I had some Kevlar to try. It's not a toy, it's a lethal weapon.

I’m shocked in how beautiful this blade is. Except a bure on the tip of the blade, and the shoulder strap could be shortened a bit

I use it to chop some branches and feel like a warrior whilst I do it.

The blade when I opened the box didn't look impressive. It cuts good out of the box. But I bought it for that and pride in my own country, not China. I appreciate things they make in China. But that's not what this purchase is about. It's about pride in my own country.

This is a really nice sword for the price. I recommend it.

I had one while I was in a little over a decade ago. This seems of the same caliber, save one fatal flaw. The big and shiny “MADE IN CHINA” label on the blade that will take a grinder to remove.

Very solid blade. Will hack a 2x4 in two. Handle doesn’t feel perfect to me. That could just be my hands.

Where to start... so many problems I have with this POS.It's not thick enough stock..to begin with..or long enough..could be 3-5 inch longer.. and it's basically a super pointy butter knife... is quite dull and the sheath is crappy too! Strap is anchored in a bad position. Could be lower would make it more functional and carry better. The wort really is being marketed as a U.S.M.C. that's United States marine Corp. Tool and its stamped made in CHINA. WTF!?SAVE YOUR MONEY, GET SOMETHING REAL.
