Replacement pen is a must have in order for the unit to work. They dont last that long. I would say 6 months with moderate use. Love the unit and would purchase again

The Pen Probe dries out too fast
KEE Pen Probe dries within 6 months, and it costs over 50 dollars. It does not matter if you use it a lot or not. It will dry out very fast. Not worth it.
