Good SD reader for the price - solid build with aluminum casing - stays cool during import - matches silver MBP..I did a real live test importing 2880 RAW Sony A7R2 images from a Sandisk Extreme Pro 128GB card into Capture One Pro 10 on a top specked 2017 MacBookPro. This import took 20:20 minutes compared to 30:32 on a top specked 2014 iMac's internal reader.

Only works for a couple months
Product worked great for the first month and a half, then stopped working. It ejects itself after about 30 seconds of being plugged in every time, making it impossible to work. There was no damage to the cord, it just stopped working.
