Amazon Kindle Fire 7 Inch Screen Digitizer with Adhesive

I wanted to note that this item included a small tool set to use for disassembling the kindle with. I did not notice it in the description nor did I see anyone else mention the tools in their review.

Great replacement for a damaged Kindle digitizer. The tools however probably work make it pass a few uses, as they are kinda cheaply made but it definitely gets the job done.

This is for Kindle Fire 1st generation. It won't fit for Kindle Fire HD. I ordered on April 25th, and it arrived on 28th April. (even it wasn't prime item) I ordered same item from other company first, then realized that item will be shipped from China and will take at least 3 weeks to arrive. So I canceled that order, and ordered from wirelesstechtrends. You have to pay extra for shipping, but who wants to wait for more than 3 weeks to get replacement part? I highly recommend this company. I ordered this item for my daughter's kindle, and the glass was shattered badly. You can check Youtube, see how to replace. One thing I would recommend is if you have badly cracked glass, you should cover the surface with packing tape so that it would not come off as pieces and cut your finger while you remove old broken glass part. Open the kindle takes sometime, but it took LONG time to carefully remove all the pieces of the broken glass, then clean the frame, remove all the sticky glue before the new glass was installed. But after all, it was worth a try. I am happy to spend $22 and 2 hours to see my daughter's smile again.

Screen was OK, fit our 2nd generation Kindle Fire (not HD version). But what a pain - took several weeks to receive, then there was no tool kit as promised in the description. Tool kit came in another week. Most important tool that's used to pry the screen off without marring the sides just folded and disintegrated literally the first time it was put into the crevice, so I had to use a metal tool. The screen went on and son is happy.

not too bad to replace just need a #000 Philips screwdriver for those tiny little screws in your kindle. Also, that original sticky tape holding on your glass? Holy cow that is some tough stuff. it took a lot of patience to peel that junk off of there. All better now though been using my kindle again for the past few weeks with zero problems. while you have it apart, go ahead and check the solder on the charging port. the original kindles were kind of spotty, leading to lots of charging issues. you will need a magnifier if you are to redo it.:)

With so many different models available, it is hard to know for sure if you are ordering the right part. Sadly I didn't and am still without my beloved kindle fire.

I'm not technical at all. I dropped my daughter's kindle and shattered the glass along with her heart. So, right away I looked into buying her a new one even though I did not have the money.... then I saw this product and primed it my way. I watched a YouTube video, cussed a lot, but in the end I did it and it works perfectly. Tip: I spent the extra $3 and bought a little tool kit to help and I'm so glad I did!

I bought the wrong size so I don't know how it would have worked. Going to just return it and buy a new kindle.
