What scale would these be?

If your scale is the size, the larger ones are about 4" long, the giraffe is about 5" tall. The babies are smaller... acceptable size. If you are asking scale for quality, they are a nice quality. I am satisfied with my purchase.

difficult and lengthy process to put it together

This is a cute farm toy for kids however it is a bit difficult to assemble and we had to add super glue to the pieces to get them to stay together and ensure that they would be durable.
