IT WORKS! Don't wait to get one!
What do you know, it actually works! I was skeptical at first but believe it or not, only 2 months after installation this awesome thing prevented a disaster! I put one sensor behind every toilet, under every sink, behind the washing maching, behind the refrigerator and under the A/C handler. I also put the sensor cord around the hot water heater and main water lines that come into the house. I also connected the main water control device so the main line water will turn off should a leak be detected. The house is used part time and nobody was home when the following occured; I received an alert on the Yolink app saying a water leak was detected under the refrigerator and that my preset auto commands were triggered and automatically turned off the main water valve to the house. At first I didn't want to believe it as I was just at the house a few days before. I thought it was a malfunction. However, out of an abundance of caution I sent over our housekeeper and low and behold it was discovered that the ice maker on the freezer side was pouring water out into the floor each time it was cycling to make ice. Because of the water in the floor the Yolink sensor was triggered and turned off the main water supply. This ultimately saved me $$$$$'s in repair costs and lost rental income. I was going to be gone from the house for a couple of days, just imagaine what would have happened in those few days if it wasn't for the Yolink leak detetion system. It was absolutely amazing how this system turned off the main water valve! It was very easy to connect, set up and add other devices once I understood the process. The price of the product is very reasonable and so worth the piece of mind. I never thought I would actually get to see it in action and here I am...writing this review!I AM A BELIEVER AND WITNESSED IT WORKING FIRST HAND! HIGHLY RECOMMEND! I now also have other Yolink products in addition to the leak detectors. I Love them all so far and I am breathing a sigh of relief for not waiting to install. I hope even more products are added to the Yolink product line in the near future.*the picture is just a sample of one of the sensors behind a toilet. This is the same type of sensor that I had behind the refrigerator.Sincerely,One relieved and grateful Yolink customer!

Great headache saver!
Our insurance offered a discount if we installed a leak detector with auto shutoff. We selected this one due to others' review and its features. Installation is pretty straightforward - but note this: the kit includes 2 sizes of mounting brackets, and for us, neither was the "perfect" size (given that we wanted the motor mechanism to be flush up against the valve stem, one bracket was about 6mm too long and the other about 4mm too short). We ended up using the longer one since it would still engage with the valve stem, though not completely flush like I wanted it to be). Anyway, the whole thing works now and is a great headache saver! We've had leaks before that have cost $1000's to repair. With the sensors and the shutoff valve in place now, we can rest easier knowing the water will get shut off if there's a leak near a sensor.

This system works well with and without Wifi. And great tech support with a real person.
Can't say enough about this system. It works very well and can communicate with itself when it detects a leak and needs to shut the main water valve off. It also supports Wifi and can work with Alexa (including individual sensors), but doesn't have to.We've called tech support twice. We've added various different sensors and had technical questions (not problems). Both times got right to an actual person (Leah). No phone maze - a real person with real answers. Very rare with companies today.

Paid for itself in the first week
This is one of the best electronic devices I ever bought.I initially installed it with 4 sensors and within a day it shut off the water, I turned the water back on with my phone and thought the thing was defective. Turns out I had a small leak under a sink that was obscured by cleaning items so I didn't notice it when I placed the sensor. The valve on the faucet was seeping water down the pipes and dripping so slowly that most of it evaporated but it was still enough to damage the wood and trigger the sensor.I have since ordered 7 more sensors and even put one near the a/c system in case the condensate pump stopped working. Believe it or not, during a power outage the back up generator came on and we went on with life as normal until the water was shut off. Thats how I discovered that the electrician didn't wire the condensate pump circuit into the generator bypass panel and there was water on the floor. Without the yolink I would have had quite a bit of water in my cellar and damaged a number of items we keep on the floor since the cellar is always bone dry. Shutting off the water naturally didn't stop the condensate water leaking but it did bring it to my attention as well as the signal it sent to my phone. This system is amazing and I have checked each sensor with a wet rag and they all send a signal to the hub to shut down the water and send a message to my phone.I am not computer savvy but with a few glitches and google searches I was able to set it up. Instructions are pathetic--the system was designed by a genius and the instructions were written by his parrot.Highly recommend - not sure if there is an upper limit to sensors but I am at eleven and it still works. There are other sensors such as heat rise and temp sensors for a refrigerator which seem like good ideas but the water shut off is the one I like most as I have always worried what a burst hose, valve, line, humidifier or icemaker could do to the house when I am on vacation.I am concerned about shutting off the water and leaving the hot water heater on but if I get a notification of water shut off I can either return home or have a neighbor check in.
