Great series
If you loved Robert Urich, you'll love him in this series. As a bonus you'll get Tony Curtis in some episodes as the owner of the Casino who has Dan Tanna (Urich) on retainer. He's great. Lots of Las Vegas in this series.

From The Guy Who Brought You Miami Vice...?
I was kind of stunned when I saw that Michael Mann created this show for Spelling. It's about as polar opposite of Miami Vice as you can get. What a fun little ride these "done in one" forty year old episodes are. If you like stars (Tony Curtis?!?) and cast members from Sanford & Son (no Redd though), It's A Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World and freakin' Scatman Cruthers (in cameos) you will enjoy this old school Vegas romp.Half the fun is looking at the towering old signs of now defunct casinos in the backdrop as Robert Urich drives around town. This is back when they actually strapped a camera to the car and actually filmed actors out on the road. Vegas$ is the gift that keeps on giving.I bought the complete series and the disks came packed nicely. The first season looks and sounds great for DVD quality and the production took place on location so there is decent depth to the filming in working casinos with most likely hit and run lighting set-ups. It doesn't look like they looped the audio much in post production, so its a great example of how a show was put together before things started getting really polished with Miami Vice. This show is campy, but you can't help but enjoy likeable goofy/characters who have no angst and enjoy solving kooky Vegas crime. Bart Braverman who plays Binzer is a lot of fun as the sidekick and the only living cast members. And who the heck doesn't want to live in a world where you're part of a really cool opening title sequence. Tony Curtis walks through the DI like a total boss! I'm looking forward to watching all three seasons of this fun spirited time capsule. Literally most of the actors and practical locations are literally gone from the face of the earth but they live on here. There is very little production info on Vega$ online and I'm dying to find out where they sound stages were located they used for a couple of the regular interior locations.

Great Look Back at 80's TV Drama and LAS VEGAS
Great iconic drama that was light crime drama, unlike todays dramas that are heavy on blood and violence where you need to watch every week. Robert Urich was great in this role along with all his costars! great plots laced with Bart Braverman's (BINZER) humor and the toughness of Greg Morris (Captain Nelson). First season episodes featured Two Leaf ( the tall Indian actor from "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest"), Tony Curtis, and eye candy Judy Landers ( who ended marrying DODGER relief pitcher Tom Niedenfeur, and still looks great today with 2 grown daughters). I love the back drop of Vegas and looking at the strip back then when there was the hotel with the giant "SLIPPER" on it next to the Frontier. And looking at who was hot back then by looking at the hotel's giant marquee signs. Popular Vegas entertainers would appear regularly like Wayne Newton and more. One episode featured Maureen McCormick (Brady Bunch) as a female tennis player with Robert Reed as her DAD ! Another starred a runaway teen played by Terri Nunn who later become a singing star for the New wave group, "Berlin." But my favorites were the ones with Dan Tanna in peril - blindness in one and addiction in another! You'll notice that after Judy Landers left after season 1 that Bea ( Phyllis Davis) got all sexy on the show. She was rumored to be dating Dean Martin or some other big names in town when the series was filming. And Robert Urich and Bart Braverman would appear as themselves on "Password Plus" with Allan Ludden for a week! Before this became a series , Robert Urich made a TV pilot with Tom Selleck called "Bunco" that didn't get picked up! then we got "VEGAS" and "MAGNUM PI!" The VEGAS pilot is not here but if you get to see it, there were many changes made to the series! Greg Morris" Captain character had a different name, and the main hotel was the "MAXIM",not the "DESERT INN.'

It's very good quality
Actually, I'm watching it right now. The quality of the cds are very good, it's also a good detective drama from the 70's starring Robert Urich. The only thing that I don't like is that the episodes don't stream together, they have to be started separately. Overall, I'm satisfied with it.

I love to see old Vegas and Robert Urich
I have always loved this series and I wanted to see them all so I bought the set. It is very nicely packaged. All the disks played, no problems. It's so fun the see Vegas when it was nice and friendly. All the old hotels and stars before they were stars. I like to buy DVD sets of old series because the writing is good, the seasons were longer and the people in them. TV today isn't very good. The writing is old and predictable. The season is just a few episodes. It just doesn't compare to the shows from decades ago

the series is fantastic! All shot on location in the Las Vegas ...
I bought it on Amazon for $59.94 a couple of weeks ago on Dec. 16, 2016. The price has gone up $8 and change since then, I guess. Anyway, the series is fantastic! All shot on location in the Las Vegas casinos, on their properties, in their showrooms and in the city circa 1978-1981. If you like Las Vegas then you'll get a kick out of seeing all of the casinos that have since been imploded, along with the stars of the time on their marquees'. A real time capsule! With the passing of the show's star Robert Urich, the beautiful Phyllis Davis ( who along with being an actress in many TV shows, was the long time girlfriend during the 70's of the "Rat Pack's" Dean Martin ) and Greg Morris ( of the original "Mission: Impossible" TV cast ), there won't be any actors reunion for "Vega$". On the brighter side, you'll get a lot of action and laughs from this series and the show's writing and quality were excellent from the premiere to the very last show filmed. The DVDs' quality is also excellent.
