I use this as a secondary leash for my Doberman. I like walking my dog with a very short leash. I have accidentally dropped his leash a couple of times when tripping on the side walk or a hole in the grass at the park. Even though he is very well trained, when this happens, he thinks he has "escaped" or playing a game and goes running and playing ignoring any commands. If he were a Golden, that would be fine; being a dobe, not so much. I love this leash because it is so light weight. It is very easy to carry with the other leash. Now, I can drop the short leash when I know no one is around and let him have a little more freedom. Since he is used to walking on a short leash, he never pulls this leash. I love that it has a short handle as well as the one on the end. I love it!

I ordered this leash for my 8 lb Chihuahua mix. He's adorable and the most loving dog indoors but outdoors he's a tazmania devil. Every dog in his path he tugs, pulls and gets caught up in his own leash that he's behaving so terribly. Anyway I ordered this leash in hopes of resolving him choking himself to death and for him to have comfort and ease while pulling away and this leash does exactly that. This leash works perfectly!!! I will say that the hook that latches on to his harness is a bit heavy for his size but he has gotten used to it already. I'm going to order another one for my other dog.

I do like the sturdy construction of this leash. Copper can't go that far in front of me like he is used to, hopefully with time he will learn his limit. My husky (55 pounds) broke the last few leashes he had, this leash seems like it will hold up to him. The leash is heavy, so the comments I read about not good for a small dog - I would agree with.

Although, the package showed up late on "Prime." My wife was raving about the product! She was impressed with the ergonomically comfort handle, maneuverability, locking mechanism, and less pull from our hyper acting Jack Russell. I will most likely order a second leash in a different color... very satisfied on the first use!

Purchased leash for security and peace of mind. Thought we had the best leash available until one evening we nearly lost our precious Shiba. The pressure latch became open when leaning against my leg. Until finding this leash we began walking our fellow with two leashes. We weren't taking any chances. So if you have encountered the same as we did or walking with two leashes we highly recommend this leash.

less than two month months with the leash and there is no recoil left in the bungee and the lower handle has ripped. I have a 40lb dog that likes to pull but I still think that the leash should have lasted longer.After writing this review the company provided a full refund

My pup tends to pull and is strong. He's recently been pulling too hard for my mom to handle. This leash is AMAZING! He doesn't pull and I can move him from "interesting" spots easily. Highly recommend for any dog!

After about a year the bungee has all bungeed out. Also the clasp keeps popping off the leash when I'm walking my dog. Luckily ive noticed everytime before my dog has. She is a runner too.
