Keough's Saddle Value Pack

I'm aware of the term buyer beware, but when greeted on the listing showing 7 packs of hackle, hopefully I'm not the only one to make the leap to that's certainly the value pack at $28.50. Imagine the surprise that the package that arrived contained a single packet of 12 assorted hackle! In reading the description today, I completely got what they said. The hackle is good quality, no bones there. I just think that the opening description should show a single packet.

40 years of tying experience here.. I’m not new to sitting behind a vice. Wanted to leave a review in hopes of helping some fellow dry fly anglers. I purchased the mixed color value pack. Not the variety of color options I expected. I received 4 black, 2 dun, 2 light ginger, 2 dark ginger and 2 grizzly. The length of most of these saddles is a lot shorter than expected. These are advertised as 100 packs to build roughly 100 dry flys. Realistically, I would estimate I can spin out 20-25 normally wrapped drys with this product. Still quality feathers, just not the quality I’ve seen / bought before (3 stars) Hope this is helpful!

Absolutely awesome value. The hackle that arrived was high quality and looked exactly as it appears in the product description image. This was the best deal that I found on Amazon for saddle hackle and I'm happy that what I received was as good as what I was hoping for. I almost never write reviews, but I'm pumped on the new additions to my flybox!

Using for dry flies. Requested a size 14 hackle and that is what I received.
