The tang had broken on the original zip slider and, although it still worked, was a right PITA getting it open and closed.I made sure to order a 5mm (size 5) replacement for coil zips. Item arrived next day as expected and fitted it in minutes. I was reluctant to simply cut the old slider off as, if this replacement didn't work, I'd have no way of opening/closing the zip.Zipping up the rear window part way I fitted this replacement just in front of the old zipper and was delighted to find it worked perfectly. I then took a leap of faith and cut the old slider off which now exposed a couple of cm of open zip, moving this replacement slider back over this open part was no issue.The whole thing now opens/closes smoothly. Agree with another reviewer that the tang is not the most comfortable to hold however in my case it's not something that'll get used a lot.Hopefully it'll stay in place, seems robust enough at this stage, certainly didn't spring open easily to fit it.

This zip repair kit doesn't work. It broke in pieces on the first attempt to use it.

This is an absolutely brillant product. The caveat is you need to make sure you get precisely the right zip slider for the zipper (in my case it was a coil zipper, size 5). I used it to repair a damaged zip slider on a fishing tube so it works even when it's going over a contour. In fact it works better than the original ever did. My wife seriously doubted it would work. However, she was so impressed she's now looking over some of her old handbags for me to repair! I also like the way it means you don't throw out an otherwise perfectly good item just because of a broken zip. The zip slider itself is well made and looks like it will last - 10/10 Korbond.

The zip attaching one of the back cushions to our sofa was damaged so it would not remain in place or keep it's shape properly.I ordered the coil zip type as that matched the zip on the sofa.The instructions on the back were concise and straightforward and it was very easy to fit.This zip is so good I immediately ordered a second one for another cushion as I wanted to ensure they work and only ordered one initially.The zip is metal and has a very easy to use mechanism. It feels sturdy and does the job intended.

good value if you get it to work, i got it on the coat but wont stay on or wont zip the coat. had no problems getting a refund.

Found this to be brill easy to pop on thought it was good value now my jacket ok to wear

Eventually got it to sort of work with a lot of spraying with zip lubricant, on and off many times and still extremely stiff. Just about works if you can keep it perfectly straight. Would not recommend this product. I can see in the future will be replacing it.
