36V 2A Battery Charger Output 42V 2A Charger Input 100-240 VAC Lithium Li-ion Li-Poly Charger for 10Series 36V Electric Bike

I own a BMSBattery conversion kit w/ a 36V 12Ah LiFePO4 bottle battery that I installed on an old Kona mountain bike a couple years ago. Last month the charger that came with the kit stopped working. I went to a local shop that sells eBikes and they wanted $80 for a charger like this. It looked like a laptop charger so I figured I could get it cheaper on Amazon. After seeking advice on Endless Sphere on the volts, amps, etc… I bought this one.It works! It takes about 6 hours to charge my 12Ah battery which is a little longer than the one that came with the battery because it’s 2A instead of 2.5A. It is better than the one that came with the kit because it’s fanless (quiet) and lightweight. My old charger had a fan that made noise and it smelled bad when charging so charging the battery anywhere but at home in my garage was out of the question. This charger is silent and doesn’t emit any odor at all so I could take it to work with me and charge the battery for the ride home. For this price I could just buy another and leave it at work!I’ve only charged the battery a couple times with it so I will update this review if I run into any issues but so far I’m very satisfied with it!!

It was a great replacement for my electric bike.

I bought this charger for my Sondors E-Bike and it works great. It is much smaller than the original and therefore easily fits inside the battery compartment so I can take it with me. Unlike the original charger it is completely sealed, so it is more durable and no annoying fan. It also works if you plug into AC first. I tested the charger (see graph) and it functioned perfectly, limiting to its top 2amps than limiting to 42v. 2a is slower than the 3a charger of course, but that big thing is stuck at home.

Charger stopped working only after a month of use. Used it to charge my Sondors fat tire and only after about 20 charging cycle it quit working. Cannot recommend at all.

I don't know that you can even find a reliable, built to last charger. I guess it is what it is. This particular unit melted the contacts right through the board on the outgoing power end. Fire hazard city!! Lasted a little less than two months. Funny, that's just long enough to not be able to get a refund. Charged really slow as well. In the trash now...
