Eric the Red and Leif the Lucky

Like others have said, better books are out there. Really disappointed there’s no mention of Leif Erickson’s Christian faith. Because of it, so many Vikings became Christians that they stopped their typical raiding/trading and therefore was the end of the Viking era. That’s a big thing to not include.

This is a short little book with pictures that's age appropriate for ages 6 to 10. As far as text to drawing ratio per page, I would say that 1/3 is text, while 2/3 is a picture. Nothing to get excited about. Like a summary. There are much better books out there if you're looking for a detailed discription of the either person's life even for kids. It's great for what it is, but it really is like a throw-away and even the price doesn't seem to match up to the quality of actual text inside. The art is the best part of the book.

The seller listed it as used quality, but it looks amazing! We are using it as part of our history study and it's informative while still being entertaining enough for my 8 year old to want to listen.

This was an excellent book for an early explorer report my son had to write. The book had a lot of great information but my 10 year old was able to read it independently.
