SpoilersFour years ago: The firefighter H broke up with the love of his life because she slept with his brother. They were in a three year relationship.Present : The H’s father died. His father had the foresight to hire an assistant for him to help run their Lake Tahoe resort after his death. The assistant..aka the h... turns out to be his ex’s sister. The h had crushed on him since their first meeting seven years ago but he had never noticed her. He only had eyes for her sister. When they meet, he doesn’t remember her or know her name. His brother (the cheater) had to point out the sister connection. The H is attracted to the h, but he fights the attraction because of his past with her sister.No likes: the H had too much inner thoughts about the ex and appeared to still have deep lingering feelings for her. He also fought the attraction to the h for so long that he doesn’t get together with her until close to the last part of the book. There was absolutely zero chemistry between the two characters. There was so much of the story devoted to the H fighting the attraction to the h and his thoughts of the ex that their relationship got lost in the story. I also hate stories featuring an H who has been with both sisters. That is a big ICK. The only drama in the story was the H fighting the attraction. The h was willing to overlook the sister issue. That was kind of strange. The sister strongly encouraged their relationship saying she strayed because she was trying to get out of their relationship. I thought that was even stranger.Throw in the cheating brother and everyone and everything is all in the family...Not for me.

If you are looking for a hero that protects those close to him, support his family with everything breath he takes, and loves with his whole heart than Tempting Levi is what you need.This is my first book from Jules Barnard and I know it won't be my last. As soon as I picked up Tempting Levi I couldn't put it down until it was finished. The writing is captivating and the story alluring. I feel hard and fast for Levi Cade and continued to swoon with each passing page.I love Emily and her ability to give just as good as she gets. Her sassy, witting banter with Levi is priceless and I couldn't get enough of it.I adore the dynamic Levi has with his brothers and can't wait to get to know them better as the series continues. Even Emily's relationship with Lisa is intriguing.I really enjoyed Tempting Levi with its hero with a huge heart, heroine with feistiness, and a story line that is enthralling. And the sexiness is just the right amount of hot and saucy.I would highly recommend Tempting Levi whole heartily.

I don’t usually write reviews, but this book had so many leaps and holes that it seemed necessary. Major plot points weren’t built up, they were glossed over in a paragraph or two. The story concept is fine, but the writing seems to be something that was submitted to meet a deadline toward the end of the book - nothing built up, just resolved in a few paragraphs. The first 2/3 of the book built things normally, but the last 1/3 of the book was like hitting the fast forward button for content while remaining in real time.

Adult, Slow burn, inter-office romance setup, trust issues explored. Vague spoilers ahead.Levi's internal conflict is that he is torn between his business ethics, attraction, and trying to get over emotional harm caused by the betrayal of trust, all while trying to save the company that is his father's legacy for his brothers and himself. All this angst blinds him to the new betrayal of those within the family-run company but is caught by the heroine which goes a long way towards solidifying the positive feelings between the two main characters and wakes L up to who his real enemies are. The brothers tighten ranks to include the ex-girlfriend and her husband as the situation becomes a vehicle to re-think their break-up and the actions surrounding that time for a new, healthier attitude toward both his brother and ex-girlfriend. The two main characters realize that they are better both mentally and emotionally as a couple than as mere co-workers. Love and restoration of the family were the greatest inheritance their father gifted them by the scheming terms of his will. HEA. One brother down, the rest to follow in subsequent episodes.

I freely chose to review this ARC of book one from an author I never heard of, and was delighted with Levi and Emily's story! Talk about five sexy and stubborn Cade brothers! Levi Cade was a firefighter putting out fires literally and figuratively. He also was drawn to the helpless women that needed a white knight and Lisa Wright was VERY needed and he planned every step for the rest of their married lives, but she cheated on him with his younger brother! Once he was hurt on the job and given a choice of a desk job or retirement, then his dad died and left him in charge of the elegant resort. With no experience and a heavy load for his employees that couldn't afford to be out of a job, now his club had lost three big accounts to the competition when Lisa's little sister was hired to help him turn the club around. I liked that Emily went for what she wanted as Levi had always been one of her fantasy, but he was Lisa's ex-boyfriend!

Levi thought he had his life planned out that was until a concrete block meant he was no longer a fire fighter. His girlfriend had dumped him so that as far as he was concerned meant he was staying away from relationships. He was now in charge of an exclusive resort after the death of his father and finding out a very young looking Emily was going to be his executive assistant didn't make things better. Trouble was she was good at her job and he found her very attractive but she was the step sister of his ex and he couldn't go there .

The Cade brothers are delicious ....Fantastic story part of a series but also stand alone. Easy read loveable characters and storyline is realistic

Brilliant. Heartwarming romance with a dash of humour & passion - what's not to like? Found this very difficult to put down as I wanted to know how things turned out - now that's a recommendation!

Enjoyable story. Levi and Emily have some roadblocks to get through on their journey to happiness. Like a rollercoaster there are emotional ups and downs to give you “the feels”. Wonderful characters.

I really enjoyed this book. Levi deserved happiness after what his brother and Lisa did to him! Emily is such a lovely young lady and deserved to be Loved! Looking forward to reading the other books in the series.
