These are very nice strip lights. Particularly because their chips are all RGB which means all 3 colors are on each LED chip. In other words, you don't wind up with a bunch of red/blue/red/blue leds which sort-of blend to make purple-ish like many such strips.It works well with power packs and I use mine with a huge battery to make my river table glow. It seems pretty efficient, particularly on lower brightness.You can control brightness up to about 10 levels or so which gives good control.You can control the speed of the various modes, INCLUDING the slow-fade mode which is a rarity amoung these type of leds.You have 20 colors you can pick from which is decent. I do wish they had a Color++/-- type button so that you could select ANY color. Going from the green down to blue/green cyan is pretty good as far as increments go. But from that color to blue is quite a large jump. Ditto with the others... you lose a lot of inbetweener colors from the bottom most button to the top color button on the next column over.Music mode works decently and transfers control to the little local music speaker box. It oddly enough has multiple modes of its own... only ONE of which is actually music. It has basically redundant modes.Note that music mode wont work great with a battery pack since the batteries tend to turn themselves off if no load after 30 seconds to 1 minute typically. This depends on the battery pack of course.All in all, I am happy with it. Very nice color, love having the colors all on 1 chip.

Probably the biggest joke of all LED strips on Amazon is the "Music" functionality. Imagine the rainbow effect, but it only shows when theres volume. The frequencies dont correspond to notes, the way it intakes the "music" is via a bad mic on the back of the controller which will inevitably fail, not to mention pick up random noise more than the tvs sound. Do yourself a favor and dont waste your money on these lights which will make your TV set up look like that of a childs at chuck e cheese but worse.

UPDATED Review:After my initial post(below this review), the seller reached out to me and helped me with either a full refund or a new LED strip.I requested for full refund due to not wanting to risk again.The refund was made accordingly and I truly appreciate the great customer service.Since the overall review is good, I would say give them a chance because the strip looked great and I got compliments.I think I may just have received a bad one or something went wrong while I was using it because most people had no issues with it.BEFORE Review:Used it for four months and the lights started flickering this morning.When I unplugged it, it smelt like something was burnt and I realized it was the plug.I do not know the reason, but I am rating it 1 star because things could have really gone bad if I didn't unplug it right away.

I bought a second one for my daughter's room it stays on red can't change mode or color I received it today my kid was all excited lights won't change mode doesn't change nothing works what's up with that .They do everything it says on the description only thing is it doesn't connect very well to portion you connect to outlet. If you fix that issues they will be perfect also mine came with micro USB I had to provide with USB brick to plug to outlet. Some people posted they got the same as I some posted it came with regular outlet connection.

There are lots of videos of the 10M light strip rocking with the music. Don't get too excited with the 2M. The lights work fine, if you want to use them for individual colors.PROS:+Price, these are a pretty good value+Bright colors+Easy to use remote+Easy setupCONS:-Music mode barely works. I have the mic right next to my speaker. It is off unless the noise is blasting. Wouldn't be so bad if the lights were on and changing intensity, but they go black!-Adhesive is not great. It won't stay stuck and I had to tape it.-Had 1 bad LED (though not a big enough deal to deal with returns)Overall satisfied, but make sure you know what you're getting if you're selecting the 2M vs. the 10M.

I've used several brands of LED strips in the past and there are quite a few cons to these LED's. There is no RGB fade option. The only color that CAN fade is red and only red. The music feature was the selling point for me, but the speaker is very sensitive to any sound and is very inconsistent with the speed of the beat. The colors pop in and out much too quickly. Imagine listening to music and seeing non-stop fireworks blasting in your peripheral vision. No matter how slow the beat, how low in volume the song is, the colors change much too sporadically. If "syncing to the music" is what your attracted to, these are not the best option.With that being said, the colors are pretty bright, but not super rich. The adhesive sticks pretty well (although like most adhesive strips) It'll likely weaken over time. I have to say I expected more, but when the LED market is flooded with cheap, Chinese made products, you can only expect so much in terms of quality.

Amazing LED lights but the sticking tape sucks. I dusted and wiped down the back of my TV and made sure everything was clean and dry before I applied the LED strip to the back of my TV. At first it went on perfectly. After a few hours when I went back to my room, half of the LED strip was already hanging. The next day had almost completely fallen off. I used the 4 clips that were included and 2 of the clips also came off and it was only being supported by the two other clips. I believe that for such good LEDs they should at lease provide some decent tape/ clips to keep them from falling off.

I buy a lot of USB lighting for "bike raves", and these are the best LED i've found. Goes to the beat of the music, or many modes to choose from. Great length too!
