This is the Kartboy short shifter and bushing combo for the 2004-2015 STI. This kit completely replaces your factory shifter mechanism, and will also restore any excessive shifter movement due to tired or worn out shifter bushings. Included is the short throw shifter kit which will decrease the shift throw by 40%, and also included are the rest of the shifter bushings needed to complete the job. This installation can be performed with proper lifting of the vehicle, and typical hand tools. Save a little money by ordering as a kit rather than ordering the parts individually.

You will have issues with the reverse lockout cable rattle and making noise.
Is it shorter? Shorter in height, yes. More trouble than it's worth, I really don't recommend unless you like to tinker with your car and shove your hands in places while trying to ziptie bind with one finger. If I had it to do over, I would purchase subaru's shorthrow kit and be done with it.

Order from here and did not have the front bushings with the package. Really disappointed with my purchase.
