Great EDM Collaborations! Can't get enough
I heard "Magnets" featuring Lorde on XM's special coverage, thought I'd look the song up. I listened to the whole album, on Prime. Rarely do you find an album there are no throwaways. EVERY TRACK stands alone, & I can't seem to play them enough.I gotta hand it to Amazon for the whole music buying experience. Back in the day you would hear few songs off a new vinyl album, go over to Tower Records to buy it and find the rest of the songs on it were crap. You would play the good ones until the grooves were worn out, and curse yourself for not just buying the singles, and a side benefit is all those albums took up A BUNCH of space! CDs didn't wear out but still were STILL quite bulky, and you STILL ended up with a bunch of music you would NEVER listen to again.Carrying a small thumbdrive loaded with THOUSANDS of songs in the car with me is MUCH better than those boxes of CDs, Cassettes, & 8-tracks!What a revolution Amazon & MP3 Downloads have made for the last few years for me!

Another Album Full Of Great Collaborations
I am a firm believer that, for the most part, when artist collaborate together on various projects the end result is amazingly better. This is proof of that statement. This album is a wonderful mix of moving voices and groovy beats. I really like how they not only pulled big names from their rolodex but also pulled some little know names into the fray. My personal favorites from this album are their remake/edit of Gregory Porters "Holding On". I also really like "Moving Mountains". Another one of the nice things about Disclosure is that they not only produce but they also sing on their tracks. This just furthers my love of their artistry. This shows how talented they are and I am sure that they have some more great albums on the way! This is an album that I constantly come back to for smooth, groovy, head bobbin' vibes!

More Mellow than Settle, but still Great
Disclosure has done it again! I actually pre-ordered this cd and I can tell you I have never pre-ordered anything, but I enjoyed the Settle cd so much I that I just had to have the Caracal cd. I must say this one has a more mellow feel than Settle, but I have enjoyed all of the songs. Of course, I have my favorites on this one and tend to replay the faster tempo songs, but I don't feel the need to skip through the slower songs. I haven't enjoyed music cds this much since the 80's and the music I've bought in the past 20 years has been from that time period because most of the music today sounds alike, but Disclosure's music tends to have that 80's feel that I absolutely love. I also like the fact that these clean cut, non-drugged out young brothers from the UK have such a talent for creating this kind of enjoyable music, introducing us to artists we've never heard before and pulling in folks like me who are 55+, by making music that has that old school feel. I wish they would do a whole cd with Sam Smith with songs like Latch and Omen, which take him out of his normal slower songs mode.

My current fav!
I love every song on this album. The deluxe edition is well worth it. Kicks off from the start with cool vibes that carry into everyone's fav, Sam Smith. What follows is a mix of unique R&B dance pop. Then a great one featuring Lorde. A sure hit. In the middle there's Jaded. A song featuring the vocals of both Disclosure brothers. Next, some heavy laced synth songs, also with R&B vibes. The three extra songs included with the deluxe edition are all great too.

Mellowed out, yet still deep and dancey... ya dig?
Do yourself a favor and buy this record now! Disclosure has matured and I can listen to Caracal from top to bottom without skipping a song. I can't say that about many albums! As for a vinyl review, each LP is180 g, pressed very well, and the sound is huge!! The album art is gorgeous too. It's a gatefold that's held together by a thick sleeve of plastic that slides off with the cat's face and album title printed on the sleeve. I'd also recommend that when you're sliding the sleeve back on, to do it at the album's opening end, as opposed to the spine end. Just makes it easier ;)

Awesome music
I've always wanted to buy this & I finally did. The whole album is amazing. The collabs are lit.Anyway, the packaging it came in did not seem to protect the vinyl. There's a nasty crease on one of the corners of the sleeve. Got bent through the plastic cover. Other vinyls I've ordered were protected better.

Excellent!!!
This CD is excellent. There are only two CD’s that I can listen to from start to finish without wanting to skip a song and it would be this one and Disclosure’s Settle CD. It’s rare that you buy a CD anymore these days that has more than 2-3 worthwhile songs to listen to. If you like this style of music, you will love this CD. The “guest appearances” on this CD are great as well. Saw these guys live at MSG and they were great too.

Music To Dance By
What a great cd. It is very energetic yet I find myself listening to it at all times of day. Best of all it is music you do not hear over & over again on the radio or at the club.

Don’t be expecting ‘Settle part 2’ and just enjoy it for what it is!
Was initially quite disappointed with this album as it's quite a departure from their house, two-step and UK garage influenced debut. I was expecting/wanting it to be like their first album rather than accepting and enjoying it for what it is so I initially didn’t give it a chance but on repeat listens it quickly grew on me. However there’s a distinct gap of quality in my opinion between the first 9 tracks compared to the last 5 which are a bunch of skippable nothingness. It's almost like their first album was for the clubs and this one's for the chill out party afterwards. There’s a more laid back vibe with its fusion of R and B, House and Electro sounds. It’s still uptempo at times on tracks like ‘Holding On’ and ‘Hourglass’ but It’s a definite slowdown compared to Settle although it’s still very melodic with some great guest vocalists, hooks and the overall flow of the first half of the album. The many featured guest vocalists including 'The Weekend' 'Sam Smith' 'Lorde’ all definitely add something to their tracks but personally I expected better from The Weekends feature as his voice suits dance beats but his opening track just comes across as a wasted opportunity, it’s a bit dreary and meh! However Sam Smiths feature on ‘Omen’ is just as good as ‘Latch’ although it’s very different to that song in that it’s more of a slowed down two-step ‘electro ballad!’ compared to the instant ear worm amazingness of Latch!‘Willing and Able’ feat Kwabs is one of the stand outs for me, it’s an amazing fusion of R and B and slight electro touches, its melodic baselines and syncopated rhythms of funk completely pull you in and Kwabs voice is a perfect match for the music. One of the Lawrence brothers Howard sings on a couple tracks including the track ‘Jaded’ which is a more than decent tune but I didn’t care for his other features at all. ‘Magnets’ feat Lorde is a sublimely great piece of laid back ethereal electro, her voice is well suited to the style of the track and it would have been good to hear more of this style from her.The second half of the album goes off the rails a bit as it’s all just a bit too slowed down to an almost ‘stuck/broken record’ type of sound that just goes nowhere. It’s as if they’ve ran out of ideas and guest vocalists so thought they’d just stick any old filler on to pad out the album. Maybe they should have not bothered with the deluxe version and made the album shorter rather than let these tracks drag down the overall quality of the record. It's one of those albums that I like to listen to on a long drive in the car as you can just take it in properly and let it work it’s way in but to me it’s an 8 to 9 track album depending how you feel about the first last 5 songs on it which I personally just couldn’t enjoy.

Slightly disappointing...
I absolutely loved their first album, and felt "Caracal" to be a bit of a let down. Maybe it is a slow burner, and I simply haven't listened to it enough, but I found the tracks a bit samey. There is not enough variation, and it feels too formulaic in the 'this is how to put a house track together' sense. They are talented chaps, and I feel need to push their musical boundaries and surprise the listener more.

Willing & Able
For me Willing & Able is the stand out track so far after a couple of listening.. but the others are coming up strong and no doubt through its listening lifecycle others will peak to exceed it at differing times. Thats what I love about good albums. It is good and it is great work in the production values indeed. All that said, it isnt quite the upbeat in yer face style as Settle was to me (Settle being actually a old skool garage sound adapted (and rightly so because its the very best sound). This album has a more mellow quality to it, contemplative without being totally laid back. Its still brilliant.. but these tunes will stay with you more through life's challenges as they grow more slowly on you, rather than Settle which was ore about helping you erupt in a frenzy of cool and relevance, whilst looking to hit the streets to engage with life, people moods and if its your thing, being seen and looking good.

Not as strong as Settle but bloody good nonetheless
Man, they're my favourite duo since peanut butter and jam sarnies.Whilst it's a cracking album with beautiful collabs with Sam Smith, Lorde (yayaya) for me it just doesn't FLOW together as much as their previous album Settle (which is a must buy). Settle's songs could stand on their own, being very different from one another but still embodying that same Disclosure vibe and brought funky garage/rnb to the mix whilst Caracal feels a bit more rinse and repeat? That being said, Jaded and Omen are my absolute favourite tracks of the year.Who cares what i think though, DISCLOSURE HYPE!

We want more, Disclosure! Give it to us!
Oh, wow! Another Disclosure masterpiece! I *love* these guys! I didn't think they could top Settle, which is superb, but, you know, I don't like *every* track. They've perfected the Garage genre better than any other artist I know – consistently. Well, actually, probably just as good as Michael Watford, actually. Just effing love their music. Really. Love it! <3 <3 <3 I'm looking out for their next gig now because I just *have* to see them live now!
