Champion Leather Rear Sand Bag

Very good build quality, but I prefer a little softer leather. I literally beat it with a rubber mallet to soften up the leather. I would describe the leather as boot leather, where some of my other bags are made of softer glove type leather. It's a personal preference as some of my friends like this one and others don't.Some say it's hard to fill, others don't know what to fill it with. It's very simple, your a shooter, grab a case off the ground next time your at the range, cut off the base, and you have a funnel that slips in the filler spout of the bag. Any garden shop or landscaping supply will have sand for about $5 for about 50-lbs, enough to fill about 20 of these. Most will just give you the sand if you only want to fill one rear bag. Landscaping places will have the best selection of sand from what I have found.If you don't want to make a funnel out of an old casing, just buy a set of funnels from a local hardware store. You can get a set of 4-5 plastic funnels for less than $5 and are very useful.

This bag comes un-filled, but it is fairly easy (but time consuming) to fill. The leather is pretty stiff, so you will have to squish it around a little while filling to get it filled tight. I used a 1/4" pipe and a small funnelto fill it with black sand (very heavy).

Picture is misleading. Does not come filled and it’s a big pain to fill. Nowhere in the text does it say this.

I filled my own and it was very easy...they work well and are heavy duty leather..just what I wanted....look good too.

When I bench rest my rifles this is extremely useful

I bought this product from Shooter's Ridge. Stay away from this product because it does not come pre-filled as advertised. I have not been able to use this product yet because I haven't had the time to fill it. First, I have to figure out what to fill it with. Once this is determined (I live in Minnesota with a blanket of snow), then I have to spend considerable time filling it. Don't buy this product.

Not effective at all but good quality leather. too small. I always end up putting more bags underneath to support rifles. There are bigger better lighter weight bags out there.

Ok low cost, Yes. But what a pain to fill with sand. I made a midnight trip to get sand at the local playground and found that the local cats used the place for a litter box. A rear smelling bag and, smelling like cat poop doesn't work for me. So after buying sand then filling the compartment with sand, I'm ok with it but the cost of gas and my time, not worth it.I gave it three star because it dose work but what a pain,
