So much fun!!
This game is a must have for Wii owners! I wasn't sure what to expect when I purchased this game for my wife. It has received so many wonderful reviews. Very few people dislike this product. And sure enough, it has been a big hit ever since we booted it up! Wii Fit Plus primarily strengthens your balance. In doing so, it also strengthens several muscles in your body. I never thought balance was a big deal until I played this game. I don't think anyone will get "ripped" from playing this game, but that really isn't the point. It gets you off the couch, aligns your balance, tones muscles, and makes it fun to workout! This game is a great supplement to any workout program. I did resistance training, push-ups, pull-ups, and sit-ups almost daily before using this program. Now I get to do some yoga, aerobics, and more strength training with Wii Fit Plus. It just makes my workout program more complete. It has much to offer. I highly recommend this game to any Wii owner. This is not a substitute for hardcore training in the gym. Keep that in mind if you are looking to try to shed some serious pounds or get ripped. You will see modest results from using this game daily, especially in your center of balance. And of course, it is fun to play! The have plenty of mini-games to choose from. My favorite mini-game so far is the "Soccer Heading". It is so much fun! You lean slightly to one side to shift your balance and then move forward to head butt soccer balls as they are being kicked at the goal you are defending. My 3 year old son goes crazy in a fit of laughter when we play that game. It is so much fun! UPDATE (January 11th): With more use, I am finding that, in addition to centering your balance, this program also does wonders for toning your body. I'm already noticing a more toned look in a very short time. The weight loss isn't there, but the muscles are more firm and my balance is improving. UPDATE (February 4th): I've been playing Wii Fit Plus for almost 6 weeks now. I haven't missed a day in 4 weeks. At this point, the biggest thing I'm noticing is how much more tone I am. My abs look a bit better. My legs feel more firm. Overall, I feel lighter on my feet. It has really helped a lot with my overall balance, which is something I never really thought about training. In the strength training, you can open up 3 challenges - the Jackknife, the Plank, and the Push-ups challenge. I beat the Jackknife challenge, which is insane! You have to do 100 jackknives!! I made it to 136 seconds on the plank before I started to sag and the trainer pulled the plug on me. And I did 40 push-ups today, which I think is alot. But there is still two more levels to go before it is beaten. And the last level on the challenges seems to be ridiculously hard. If I could make a recommendation to Nintendo for Wii Fit 3, I would ask them to account for your performances in the exercises more when showing what your Wii character looks like. I'm pretty strong, and you can see my muscles. But my Wii character has no shoulders and is all spare tire! Your character swells at the mid-section when registering your BMI. What about muscles!?!? If a person beats the challenges, give them some muscles on their Wii character. I've gained 3 pounds since I started using Wii Fit Plus about 6 weeks ago. But I'm certain most of that is muscle. In the next Wii Fit, you could also have people put in measurements of their biceps, chest, and thighs. Just an idea. UPDATE (August 6th): I've lost 8 or 9 pounds this year so far. I've been using the Wii Fit since Christmas 2010. I still use it a few times each week. But I haven't had the time to use it every day as I was initially. I'm still seeing results. I work outdoors and get good exercise from that. The yoga really helps keep my limber. The ab exercises (plank, jackknife, twists, etc.) are great too. The key is to do this stuff at least a few times a week over a long period of time. I'm a fan of the Wii Fit software. I hope they expand it with the next Wii that is coming out next year. Expand the yoga exercises to double what you offer now. Expand the strength training as well. The more exercises offered the better. UPDATE (November 22nd): It's almost one full year now using Wii Fit. It just simply works. My core has a much better shape to it now. And I am much more flexible now as well. My weight is still about the same, but I've found that the Wii Fit helps me keep weight off rather than helping me lose weight. I get a great feeling after a 20 minute workout of yoga and strength exercises. I rarely go over 25 minutes a session. I've had routines where I went 6 weeks in a row without missing a day. And I went through months where I used the Wii Fit maybe only 2 or 3 times a week. But I've kept it ever present in my life this year. I never went more then 4 or 5 days without using it. I can't imagine owning a Wii and not using the Wii Fit. It is awesome and IT WORKS!

Sturdy board -- super software
The WII Fit board is a scale on steroids -- one that not only can measure your weight (accurately and consistently) but, more important to its many bundled games (i.e., within the Wii Fit Plus program), it also measures whether your weight is balanced, leaning to the left or right, or leaning to the back or front. That's all the board does -- to send this information wirelessly to the console. I started with the board when I was pretty darn close to its 330-lb. limit. I feared that my weight would make short work of the board, but it held up fine and is showing no signs of wear. I wouldn't mind, for some of the yoga exercises, if it were a tad wider so that I could stand with my feet truly shoulder-width apart. But, while a bit short of ideal, the board is comfortable enough for this six-footer and his size 12 feet. The genius, and I'm not using "genius" lightly, is in how the excellent WII Fit Plus software makes use of the board. I'm 66. I was involved in programming from the time I was 22 -- doing it, teaching it, auditing it, playing with it, and collecting programs too. I've seen a heckuva lot of it. No program available for the consumer has impressed me so much as the WII Fit Plus software. It's ingenious. It's fun. It's varied. There's a heckuva lot of different activities included. And, it's loaded up with delightful little surprises such as the birthday reminder that it gave me for my wife's birthday, complete with suggestions of things I might do for her special day. Heck, when it saw me returning day-after-day to the program, it even noted that Diane hadn't been around for a while and inquired after her! This isn't software that was dashed off. This is software in which a heckuva lot of pride was involved -- software that goes well beyond what it took to get it out the door and onto the shelves. The software is varied indeed from serious Yoga exercises with bio-feedback from the balance board to a host of games that will test your balance, your reactions, your adaptability, etc. The software provides a light to moderate workout that can, in regard to the yoga, be surprisingly challenging. It gets you moving, toned, entertained, and motivated though it will seldom get you sweating. (There are other programs for heavier workouts, but none finer for light ones.) There is a lot to explore and do with the Wii Fit Plus. I recommend it highly and hope you'll discover it for yourself. While there is a lot that is fun for the Wii, there is no finer program for it than this. You're not going to believe how much fun and utility there is to be discovered in a pimped out scale!

Not just a toy!
I really like my Balance Board. Simple, no-nonsense gadget. Great care and attention to detail - turn off the Wii and the Balance Board will turn off as well. As for Wii Fit Plus, I think it's a great piece of software. Personal training and fitness, it seems, has much to do with motivation. The animated version of the Balance Board is the main character in Wii Fit Plus, and boy is it a natural :) It will motivate you, remember special dates (Christmas, birthdays, etc.), give you fitness tips and even remind you about proper Balance Board care in a very funny and easy-going fashion. I think many people don't realize just how hard it is to lose weight. I mean, the math is simple, but sobering: burn 3,400 calories more than you usually do, and you'll drop one pound. That's it. The opposite is also true. If you burn 1,600 calories a day just by going about your routine, then eating 1,800 calories a day means you'll gain a pound every 17 days, give or take. In order to lose two pounds a month, you need to either eat about 300 calories less than you *burn* per day (which in this case would mean dropping from 1,800 to 1,300 - no mean feat!) or you need to burn an additional 300 calories per day. If you run in place using Wii Fit Plus (which is about the most intense calorie-burning exercise) you need to do so for no less than 30 minutes to get there. My point is that losing weight is hard, and Wii Fit Plus tries to keep a cheery attitude and may not be clear and forthcoming enough about the realities of it. But I think it does provide enough information and focuses on the positive side of things, so I still give it 5 stars. All is not sweat and tears though - through Super Hula Hoop, the Obstacle Race and many other pretty fun activities, Nintendo put out another great family-oriented title that also improves your health by addressing sedentarism and obesity, which seem to be two of the greatest concerns of our generation. I understand this board also works with the Wii U (not sure about the software though), so even in 2013 Nintendo loyalists should feel this is a good investment going forward.

Awesome device!
The Wii Fit Plus Balance board transforms the Wii game console into a useful, fun exercise machine at a fraction of the cost of most exercise devices and takes up little to no space. Video game consoles have always had the stigma of being "lazy", mind numbing appliances. This accessory for the Wii takes the game console contradicts this idea. One of the downsides to many exercise devices and programs, in my opinion, is the fact that they are often repetitive and boring. This is one reason they are often short lasting. I mean, who wants to sit in one place and run or jog? The Wii adds the fun of video gaming to the health benefits of productive physical activity with the balance board. In addition to exercise, the Wii Balance Board also is useful for some of the Wii games, most notably Tiger Woods 2012. The Fit Plus software is useful in providing a well balanced approach to fitness with the benefits of Yoga, strength exercises, and cardiovascular exercises with some of the running games. Additionally, the Fit Plus software takes it to a new level by emphasizing mental awareness. In my opinion, the applications only downside is the decision to show the user a Wii Fit Age, which is extrapolated based on balance test. As a professional counselor, I have learned that humiliation is the worst form of positive motivation. I am 40 years old and when I first tried it, I was given the Wii Fit Age of 35! Sounds pretty good. Because of some confusing instructions, the next time I was 70! What a drastic difference and this was after a week of exercising. In some way, I found that demoralizing and not motivating at all. The designers might want to rethink this part. If you can look past that and realize that a computer is simply not a good judge of age, then the application is otherwise very good. Many of the games are very nice as well and make for good little breaks in between exercising routines. I liked the golf driving range feature (cause I like golf) and it has actually helped me to improve my golf swings and become more aware of the role of balance in a golf swing. In conclusion, I am of the opinion that this is the best accessory ever made for the Wii. In fact, I would go so far as to say that all Wii's should come with this accessory when one buys the console, but that is just my opinion.

So much fun; even when they tell you to lay off the snacks
I recently found that I wasn't exercising enough. The same old routines and videos were not working for me. Something was missing; that something was a cute little game telling me that I was doing good or that I was eating too many cookies. And that asked me to juggle balls while trying to maintain my balance on a rolling ball. Wait, What? Exactly. Wii Fit plus is all this and so much more. There are yoga exercises, strength training, and many, many mini games that are just too much fun. Each game or exercise starts with a brief introduction (that you can skip). The games and exercises are challenging and fun! The aforementioned juggling forces hand and eye co-ordination. There is skateboarding, biking, hula hooping, soccer and so much more. The big win over the previous incarnation would be the mini exercises. You can string together preset workouts that are picked to target areas such as "youth" or "health". These presets are 3 exercises long. Stringing together a few of these can actually force you to break a small sweat. additionally, you can string together yoga and strength exercises to make a real workout. Even with that, this isn't a game that will make you break a sweat but you will burn a few calories and have a great time doing it. Wii Fit+ also keeps track of how much you've worked out, what your calorie burn was and you can even import your external Wii workouts! This gives me a great way to keep track of my workouts. As a bonus, you can measure your body and the Wii Fit will give you an age. At first this can be painful to be called "78" when you are under 40, but after a few days you should be back to something reasonable and competing with your roommates, spouse, and family for the title of who has the best "Wii Fit Age!" The Balance board is really well build. It feels solid and it does so much! It is a little tricky to get the board to register when I lean left or right (in order to catch a flying hula hoop!). Also I really didn't need the game to tell me I'm gaining weight, but hey it is nice they built in a scale. And I bet the balance game can be a great party game; or a way to test sobriety! Overall this is a great addition to the Wii. The games are fun, the board is well built and, dare I say, the product is an amazing deal.

A fun way to do a beginner workout!
I got this after playing with Wii fit over Christmas break because it was fun! Like many people, I find exercise videos dull and sometimes dread working out. Wii makes it fun! Nintendo is a game manufacturer after all and it shows throughout this product. They have thought through how best to adapt the Wii and their Balance Board to a workout. Unfortunately, this isn't a very tough workout and you won't get to your fitness goals without outside exercise. You cannot run or jump on the Board so these exercises are tracked by the remote in your pocket. The reps are low on the strength training and the yoga poses are elementary. But there is great instruction with each item, very good interaction with the Wii, and the games are simply fun! After a month using this, I have found the best way to use this is to combine up many (10-15) activities into a single workout to eliminate all the downtime of balance board setup and repetitive fitness tips. Even though this is not something I count on for an intense workout, it provides a nice break on days when I simply want to laugh my way through some light cardio interspersed with yoga poses or simple strength moves. If you are looking for a way to get off the couch, this one may get you going with laughter - it certainly did for me!

One Great Workout
Every since I got the wii in 2009 I have been wanting the wiifit! I was thrilled that I waited long enough to get the wiifit plus at a great price! Wow! At first I was the only one loving it, then I got my sister to LOVE it too. I have been doing it nearly every day (for at least 30 mint per day) since I got it at the beginning of January. Its cute, and fun and interactive. I love the way it cheers you on, helps you out, its like your own personal coach. Is it easy? Nearly for sure! I am still learning little details, and as I go along it only gets more fun. I get bored easily so the fact I have continued to use it almost every day for almost 2 months says a lot about it. And my sister? She loves doing it too! And if you are really into it. Add your pets! You can add babies & pets but just for weight. Its fun to see how the pets weigh but dont be surprised if the wiiboard asks to see your pets as often as you even if they can NOT work out like that! There are more features that I have yet to do, like two remotes and getting the hang of working with my sister on it. But there is plenty of time. I have tried nearly every exercise minus the ones in Yoga & Strength (tried a few in each but not ALL of them). I love how you can advance up on some things. Its a great goal. You are working to get fit and working like a game. In fact each exercise is like a game one big video game. But a work out. And if nothing else convinces you. My sister has used the "running" exercises and then when she went back outside to work out on a run she said that doing the wiifit running HELPED her to run more. She is able to run more and longer because of her wii training. She says that from doing it you are running for real and going outside you will see its for real! So rest assured. Finally if you do anything that burns calories whether its actual exercise (like running), using a pedimeter for steps, or just cleaning the house you can ADD those into your daily exercise log. You can even log food like a journal. I mean this thing gets better and better. So jump on in and have the best fun of your life. I am sure you will love it and it will be worth it to you as you burn calories and never get bored from all the fun you are having!!!! :))

Love/Hate Relationship With Wii Fit Plus! I love it!
All-in-all, I think this is a great product. The first time it tested my balance, it said I was leaning too far to the right and then asked me, "Do you tip over when you walk?! I'm also a complete klutz, so only get 1 star "Unbalanced" on any of the balance exercises and I get the funeral dirge music whenever I try the games. On the bright side, it tells me that my form is `superb' on yoga and gives me ALL STARS and either "Yoga Trainer" or "Yoga Master" on those., so I'm not a complete failure. There are so many choices of activities that you're sure to find something that appeals to you. Then I tried the bicycle 2K and thought it would never end. NOTHING makes me sweat, but that one did. I finally got so tired that I decided to drive the bicycle across the grass and into the waterfall, not knowing it would PLOP be into a body of water. No worries. It picked me up and plopped me back on the course and my little faithful dog soon appeared to accompany me. Unfortunately, I bumped into (but apparently didn't hurt) a number of the people who were there to cheer me on. I also ran over the curbs and into cliffs and walls. As far as those games are concerned, I thought I would enjoy the Segue (segway) game since I've tried and loved the real thing. Not a chance! I don't even understand most of the games and what I'm supposed to be doing. I didn't look for the instructions. Maybe I need to do that. I also can't do the slalom race, snowball fight, or any of the others....yet. I did run 6 miles. I'm not even going to question how they figured the mileage. I'm just going to accept it as a success. I haven't had it long enough to know it will help me lose 20 lbs., even though it tells me my weight is normal, but I know that I have used it every day since I got it, some days more than others. I spent 1-1/2 hours on it on 2 days, and then got busy with my work. The fact that it's right there in my living room on my television and easy to access means that I'm more likely to use it than go upstairs to my gym equipment. If you need a kick-start to get out of your chair and start getting fit, it will DEFINITELY make a difference! I'm somewhere in the middle. I get plenty of exercise, so what I get most from this product is help with balance and coordination problems. I'm motivated to improve in those areas. I learned to let it pick the exercises for me, meaning it cut down on the delay and time wasted between exercises. I had just worked out 100 hours on my treadmill, so I didn't want to do much, just a little so I could keep my record going of exercising with it every day, since it keeps track. I missed a day and it asked me if everything was okay since I missed yesterday. I need that kind of accountability. I chose a combination of types of exercises and told it to pick 3. I thought it meant 3 things that I would do, but it meant 3 times on each exercise that it hose for me and it ended up being a whole work-out, a good thing for me. I've been building a lot of muscle recently, which makes the scale go up until it starts burning MORE fat and calories. So the machine told me it was concerned I might not meet my target goal and would I like to change it. It always tells me exactly how much I need to lose to meet my goal, an excellent tool in fitness/weight control. I think I'll end up using it occasionally, along with all of my other exercise tools. If you buy one of these, wave at me as you go jogging past me. I'll be one of those other little smiling icons out there. :) '

Wheeeeee :)
Absolutely love it... have had it for a month or so now and haven't missed a single day! I had serious balance issues accompanied by nausea and was advised meds and neuro therapy which included exercises on the Wii. As I am not very keen on taking meds, I decided to concentrate on the exercises and the Wii gives me a well-balanced workout regime that helps improve my centre of balance, hand-eye coordination, agility, etc. I definitely feel much better and as there are so many different games and exercises to choose from, it does not feel monotonous. At the same time, you can set up a routine that you want to follow every day without having to select everyday. Delivery was prompt and packaging was great too. Zero complaints!

Great purchase, great seller!
I was hesitant to purchase used items online so I messaged the seller before I bought the Wii Fit Plus with Balance Board. The seller responded to me quickly and answered my questions about the condition of the items. The board and disc arrived in mint condition, better than what I was expecting as it is a used item. I tested it out for a couple of hours and it works perfectly! Very pleased with the items and the seller!
