This is one of those bands that you can't deny they greatness, this is a great edition.

Absolutely one of the best bands in my eyes!! Great CD! I can not wait to see them live. This CD is worth the price for the song Lynndie and the pictures that come in the booklet. HORNS and HAILZ to my 3 sick brothers!!!

This was supposed to be the return of the Pungent Stench that fans knew from the early days. Yes, Martin and Alex are still the core of the band, but the sound is different and the lyrical content has traversed into a slightly 'toned down' manner. It's still a headbanger's delight, but some fans of the band may need to listen to it a couple of times to really get into it.

I love Pungent Stench. I have to say this up front. ALWAYS have. "Been Caught Buttering" was the first CD I bought of theirs back when it came out in '91. This band never ceases to kick butt. Sick lyrics, Brutal Death vocals, and groovy Sabbath-like Sludge Heaviness. Their previous masterpeice "Masters of Moral Servants of Sin" was a raging speed Death album, while "Ampeauty" is much more in the early style of "BCB". Songs like "Got Milf", "Same S*** different A******", "Human Garbage" and my favorite "Fear the Grand Inquisitor" make this album a total MUST have!. There's really no need to review each track in detail, they ALL rule and if you are a fan of "Been Caught Buttering", and "For God you soul..for me Your Flesh" "Ampeauty" will really impress you. I just find it hard to believe that Pungent Stench are not more popular in America. Americans love downtuned chunky Black Sabbath influenced Deathmetal, especially in Texas! I wish Nuclear Blast would promote "Ampeauty" more in the USA and get them to tour here!!!!!!!!!

I'm too tired to write a lenghty review, all I'll say is get this album if you aren't easily offended and you don't mind laughing at our f'ed up world. The song 'got milf?' is a classic!

Während Bands wie Entombed oder Six Feet Under regelmäßig als Musterbeispiele für gelungenen Death’n Roll abgefeiert werden, standen Pungent Stench mit ihrer Interpretation dieser Musikrichtung stets im Schatten der Zuvorgenannten wie vieler anderer.Dabei ist es gerade ein Album wie „Ampeauty“, das es verdient hätte, als Maßstab für jede gute Death’n Roll-Scheibe zu gelten. Nicht allein ist Ampeauty in puncto Lyrics und Artwork viel kränker und extremer als der Rest, sondern vereint außerdem alle Stilelemente, die man mit dieser Musikrichtung assoziiert. Ampeauty ist also nicht weniger Doom-Metal als mid-tempo-paced und geht an den richtigen Stellen immer wieder aggressiv und knüppelhart nach vorne, dass sogar bei einer Spielzeit von einer knappen Stunde niemals Monotonie aufkommt. Die Scheibe ist blendend produziert, besitzt einen ungeheuer brutalen Groove und der Sound knallt an allen Ecken und Enden. Bei alledem weiß Meister Schirenc alias „El Cochino“ sein diabolisches Organ trefflich in Szene zu setzen und Gevatter Wank alias „Rector Stench“ seine Felle derart zu verdreschen, dass kein Auge trocken bleibt.Ampeauty hat also eigentlich alles, was eine gute Death’n Roll-Scheibe ausmacht und trotzdem nie auch nur annähernd einen Bekanntheitsgrad erreicht, wie ihn andere Veröffentlichungen desselben Genres für sich in Anspruch nehmen dürfen. Der Gedanke des verkannten Geniestreichs drängt sich auf ‒ doch wird es wohl auch im Bereich der Musik, ja der Kunst überhaupt zumeist so bleiben, dass das Massentauglichere und kommerziell besser Vermarktbare den Sieg über die Qualität eines Werkes davonträgt. Aber alles halb so schlimm ‒ wahre Kenner werden „Ampeauty“ dafür umso mehr zu schätzen wissen. Für dieses Gesamtkunstwerk kann es nur die volle Sternezahl geben!
