Pretty simple to set up. Works very well with good focus and picture, and the pan+tilt works quickly. Switched off the microphone and speaker, as I don't want those functions, but nice to have. Recommended and less than half the price of the web cameras purchased 4 years ago. Also, looks professional.

Great cameras with great customer support!
Have bought 3 of these and 6 x Q5 indoor models over the last 5 years. All have worked great with only minor issues that required a simple re-set. The outdoor 2k model decided to stop working and could not be re-set, but after some advice from customer support, and after carrying out a few simple procedures, it was decided a replacement would be sent to me. It arrived 3 days later and is now up and running! Great cameras, both indoor and outdoor models, highly recommend them as they provide good imagery for a low cost!

Good camera for the price
It's a decent camera, the fact that you can turn it around and look where you want to look just by pressing some buttons on your phone is awesome. You can record 24/7 and view videos if you have inserted a memory card. Easy to set up, picture quality is quite good (when viewing directly from camera, not so from recorded videos when replay), and has a lot of additional options like sending a voice message through camera or switching on the LED light. I am giving it 4-stars because I ran into some problems, however the support was quite good and pro-active. One thing that bothers me is that when you replay recorded videos from your memory card as mentioned before the quality of picture is not that good, everyhing that moves (cars, people etc) is very blurry, which is not good in case of incident. Also there is a optional subscription available if you want your videos backed up in the cloud. All in all good camera for the price.

Excellent camera ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I have had security cameras before some good some not. These are excellent especially the pan n tilt you can spin it and get a 360 view of all around rather than just fixed in one spot. You can have it that if detects motion it will turn and revord and then once finished it will go back to the original postion but you have to save original postion first. I have read ppl moan that it only records 10 second clips which is true as it just an alert but I have found if when you go onto page that shows you the cameras you have there is a triangle ( play button) if you view the recording that way it gives around 30-40 seconds. Don't subscribe to cloud you do not need to I have sd card in both my cameras. Yes the alert is only 10 seconds long but by viewing the alert the way I mentioned earlier you get much longer recording. I paid £20 per camera and £10 for 2 sd cards so for £50 I have my home protected by cameras 24/7. The app itself is very good and easy to use. Very easy to set up took 2mins to connect both cameras to WiFi and up and running. The picture quality is excellent crystal clear. You can choose to have the light come on when triggered at night so then the recording is in colour and they are bright so makes it easy to view! Easy to share to family members so they can also see cameras which pleased the wife as we have a fox that comes every night as it gets fed ( by the wife). I would definitely recommend this camera and the price just made it even better.

Excellent Customer Service
The camera works absolutely fine and cannot fault for the money. Pan tilt and zoom is excellent. The sensitivity is sometimes a bit hit and miss it can be set off by rain drops, flies but then does not pick up a delivery person on the drive though know they have been! Still very happy as excellent picture quality day and night. What is even more impressive still is the customer service. My camera developed a fault and as soon as I email the manufacturer, Sydney was straight back with fault finding suggestions. Over the course of many helpful emails and check-in emails to see how I was getting on with the testing I was sent a new camera. I have never experienced service via online help like it. They were fantastic. Thoroughly recommend the product and for the reassurance of great after care. Many thanks

Amazing camera for the money - read the full review
Here is my honest review of the Galayou 2K Wireless Outdoor Security Camera Model Y4. If you don’t want to read through all the details, the take away from this is its absolutely brilliant for the money and would be a really useful addition to any home security set up. Build and picture quality is great, and the software App is good enough. Now for more details..... Let me start by saying that I am a massive TAPO fan, all my home SMART kit is TP Link Tapo or Kasa, that's bulbs, plugs, power strips, switches, cameras, temp & humidity sensors, and a video doorbell. They all work really well with the App, google home and Alexa and when on offer are a very reasonable price for the quality and ease of use. However..... When I saw this super cheap outdoor camera I could not resist ordering one as I want an external camera to watch my trailer that is behind my back fence. Here the camera could easily be tampered with, so I did not want to spend a lot, just in case. So, one day later the box arrived.... I had ordered a micro SD card along with the camera so opened everything up, stuffed the SD card in, downloaded the WANSVIEW App, created an account, connected to my WIFI, plugged the camera into the mains and followed the simple setup. 2 minutes later I was looking at a crystal-clear video of my dining room. I went through the simple settings menu, made some adjustments, opened the window, and put it on the window ledge to see what it would do. As darkness descended the IR lights kicked in and I had a clear black and white view of my back garden, when my daughter came home from work, the camera detected her, switched on the LED spotlights, alerted my phone via the App and I now had crystal clear COLOUR video of her walking down the path, I could see her clearly and she could see her keys from the cameras 'floodlight'. This device cost me a little more than an LED motion detecting flood light but with a camera built in! if you don’t want to add an SD card for recording it would still serve well as a PIR light that sends you an alert when it triggers and you could then look at the live feed to see who is there. The camera is now mounted on my little shed near the house, the last few days have been nothing but rain, the unit has NOT fogged up and picture quality remains excellent. It is currently powered by a 50W solar panel and SLA battery setup that was already installed in the shed. Did I mention the power connection? I did not.... I was also intrigued by the fact that this camera is powered by 5v USB and not 12v which is the norm..... Yes its USB powered..... Comes with an adaptor for you to put in 'that' drawer with all of the others...... :) Power consumption I hear you ask? I am glad you did.... The box states 5v at 1A however I had this running from my PC with a USB power monitor and the power draw is TINY. in DAY mode its 210ma in IR mode its 350-380ma (it jumps about) in flood light mode its 400ma All at five volts so 2 WATTS at full power!!!! Ok, I just plugged my TAPO outdoor camera into a TAPO power monitoring plug and it too is drawing only 1 Watt in day mode so that would suggest that cameras draw about the same. Update - 2 hours later and its dark..... my Tapo camera is drawing a whole 3 Watts, so both are comparable on power - let’s not worry about 1 Watt of difference.... The camera is not automatically picked up by Google Home or Alexa, however it was a simple job to link the Galayou App to both of them and now I can see the camera in both Google HOme and view it on my Alexa Show 8 just by shouting at 'her' I am the 'tekkie' im my family and have linked everything through my Alexa show 8, so that anyone can switch things on and off or see whos in the garden or at the door, this camera works seamlessly with my system, so not being a Tapo product is not a problem for my set up. (This is really how tech stuff SHOULD be) Now for the downsides..... This camera does not have 'tracking', my current Tapo camaera also has no 'tracking' as its fixed.... This camera is not fixed and can me remotely panned via the app. Bonus.... This means that you can set multiple target points for the camera, save them and when you click on them in the App the camera automatically moves to that position and shows you what is there. The latest versions of the Tapo cameras link directly to trigger points on the camera recording timeline, clicking on them takes you directly to that recording showing you quickly what has been recorded, this camera software does not, it shows a stamp on the timeline where 'something' has been detected, however the timeline can be zoomed in to 1 minute intervals which makes finding triggers very easy, the older Tapo cameras have a VERY fussy timeline that jumps about during navigation. So overall this is not as good as the up to date (as in buy the newer Tapo cameras) it is much better than the standard. For reference, the updated INDOOR Tapo cameras I am refering to are C210, the older non tracking are C200 - I believe that they CAN track if you pay for the cloud storage option, but I am tight and dont..... Although you cant track movement, you can set various trigger areas and tweak sensitivity levels, sound recording is good, I havent tried shouting though it yet but assume its good. So In my opinion not really a down side.... just not as friendly as Tapo, the latest Tapo, the one you have to buy AGAIN.... And I assume that the App software could be updated in the future to include a better experience, but lets not forget the price of this item. I REALLY dont normally bother writing such lengthy reviews for products BUT this one is so good I felt that I had to do it justice and as someone who understands cameras and 'smart home things' I thought that I would write a review that would include the things that I would want to know about. Like I said at the start, I am a fan of Tapo but this camera cannot be ignored for its price, quality and features. I am by no means an expert but if you have questions feel free to ping them via Amazon, just bear in mind that I work 50 hours a week and have a very broken family that are my priority.

Be warned. This security camera doesn't do what's promised.
It only records if find you've got nothing else better to do than to sit watching the live feed. I have two other cameras from two other manufacturers and they provide functionality to be able to record from replay along the cameras timeline. This camera only allows you to download selected footage from along that same timeline. But it gets worse. You are only allowed to download a certain amount of footage. And it seems to be a very small amount of footage. So you then have to break down the footage you want to download because you can't record it in the first place into pieces small enough to be able to download them instead of the block the footage you want. If there was a recording facility this wouldn't be a problem in the first place. I've contacted their technical support and what a waste of time that was. They sent messages with pleasantries about how wonderful they hope your day is and flowers but then they criticize you for the length of your email when it's got lots of details in relation to the problems you've got so that they can help you with those problems. So rather than looking at the details of the problems to try and help resolve them to provide answers to the problems instead they just look at the length of the email and criticize it and then blame the author of the email for not being able to sort the problem because apparently it's not clear what the problem is. That's just an excuse for not being able to do what is required. Which in this case is to provide a recording function for when you are reviewing footage the feature they call replay. The recording facility is available within the app but only when you are looking at live feed. How many people are going to be sat looking at live feed to then know to record live feed as it's needed? By the time somebody realizes they need to record something that's live it's already happened or they've missed the start of what it is that they want or need to record. Considering this is a security camera and there is a good possibility that the footage needed will be required to prosecute somebody for breaking the Law it's astonishing and I am bewildered at the fact that this company doesn't provide this recording facility within the app and rather than dealing with this by either sorting the appal so that it does provide this facility in replay they have instead evaded the issue within the email I sent and instead focused on the length of the email effectively blaming me for them not being able to sort the problem out to even identify what the problem is because my email was so long. I'm an engineer and I've been one for over 40 years I deal with details. The more details the better. Because that's information that helps me identify a problem and hopefully then I gather more information more details to then be able to find solutions to those problems. I'm dealing with a technical support department who doesn't want me to provide details of problems they have criticized me for doing so and blamed me for them not being able to sort problems out because apparently I haven't highlighted what the problems actually are. Correction the problem because according to the person I've been dealing with there can be only one problem or one problem at a time to be dealt with. I would rather provide too much information when I am dealing with people in written former than to provide two little information and then for them to not understand what the problem is and then to waste more time going backwards and forwards adding more information as time is wasted rather than providing it all at the start when it's all available at that point so why would I waste time providing bits and pieces of information when I have it all with me in the first instance to be provided all at once to provide as full a picture as possible of several not just one problem and these problems being linked to each other. I had to ask for an instruction manual and that manual was very basic it didn't deal with the problems I was asking to be solved and then to add insult to injury at the back of the manual it asks me to tell the company what I think and I talked that to mean what I think of the manual and the way the item works or doesn't work as it should. As well as being my way of providing information to help the support people to find solutions to the problems I had to inform them of which I shouldn't have had to inform them of because this stuff is basic when you're dealing with a security camera or a CCTV camera. So it's my view that they are already aware of these issues and either don't want to or count deal with them to solve them. Buy focusing on criticising me for the the length of my email to them rather than focusing on the information I provided within the email they have chosen to distract attention away from the problems I highlighted and presented to them so that it's then about me and how I am the reason why they don't understand what the problems are to be able to help me with them. That's known as gas lighting. It's a very cynical way to run a company and a business. Having been a manager and being in business myself and having advised businesses over the years I know that this is a very short-term way of looking at things but then if we are dealing with companies in China they have a very different way of doing things so this to them may be the right way for them to do business. Sell cheap sell as many as you can and then go out of business and people are left with devices that don't work properly and where there's no support for them. Because the company no longer exists or it's changed its name in which case it's changed its name so doesn't exist for the people who've bought these devices. So I'm going to contact Amazon now to try and get my money back for this device because it certainly doesn't do what it's supposed to do. It's supposed to be a security camera and as it's a security camera I should be able to not just view live feed I should be able to review previous recorded footage as I have set it to record to my SD card 24/7 and then when I replay the footage I should then be able to select which bit I want to record so then use for things like preserving evidence of a crime. I can't do that with this device. It doesn't allow me to record from playback from replay and it's downloaded facility doesn't work unless you download less than a certain amount of footage at once and the instructions do not tell you what that limit is and the message given to me I couldn't read it because part of it was missing the part that would tell me how much over the limit I was and why I needed to do in order to preserve this footage as evidence going forward. It looks good it looks the part but you can buy dummy cameras that do the same thing for far less. My advice do not buy this unless you are accepting of these failings. I'll give it zero stars because all of the experience I've had after purchasing this device and trying to use it as meant a complete and utter waste of much of my valuable time to end up finding out that this device is not as described and is not in my view fit for purpose. As other reviewers have pointed out it doesn't record where you need it to record. Other manufacturers devices (which I have in use) do this so there is no excuse for not providing that function in replay. And whilst I initially through trial and error thought I had discovered that there was just a terminology issue that I could use their download facility for replay of footage to save it and preserve evidence as the screenshot shows you're limited to how much you can download. And the message doesn't even show you how much footage you are limited to downloading. This is not acceptable. It's wasted lots of my time. Trying to give this company the benefit of the doubt and the perhaps it wasmy fault not understanding how the device works. In the instructions provided online to me from their support department it does mention other apps you can use so if you are one of these people who are aware of these other apps and are happy to use them with this device then you might be happy with what you get when you get this device. I've never come across these apps before and I don't want to waste any more time downloading them trying to set them up with this camera to then find out if they provide the facility to record in replay or if I would have the same problem with them as I've got with this manufacturers supplied app. I hope people will find this useful. And not unnecessarily long.

Good camera; poor integration with Alexa
I first installed this camera in the back yard, and it was easy to set up. The Wansview app is also very good, and can be installed on a PC, which I liked very much. The installation was fairly straightforward, although I had to feed the USB cable through a double-brick wall, which was not easy. However, once fitted, it worked well for a few days. I could pick the video feed up on my Facebook Portal and my Echo Show 5. Also, the video would show on my PC Alexa app, but only though a spoken request. Alexa on my PC did not recognise the Y4 as a camera in the Devices section (I installed the app on Windows 10 and 11, and on 3 laptops and a PC base unit, so any issues with PC compatibility were eliminated) A short while after installation, the camera would cease to function, and I had to unplug the USB cable to reset it. It also stopped working with my FB Portal. Later, it stopped working with my Echo Show 5. I had to exchange the Echo Show 5 to an Echo Show 8, and it would not work with it. Then it stopped working with the PC Alexa app. I decided to install it in a new position to give it a really good wi-fi signal, so that was done. It was sited in the garage, which is fairly close to the router. Still no integration with Alexa, but at least the signal did not drop out, and I could view the video on my PC and phone without much trouble. I contacted Wansview, and they were most helpful, but could not solve the issues. They put the problems down to heavy router traffic, which I accepted until I bought an Imou camera for the back yard. Yes, the Imou also had drop-out problems at first, but I installed a signal booster and they went away. I reinstalled the Y4 to this booster, but the problems remained, so I sent the Y4 back to Amazon. It's a very good camera when used as a Stand-Alone unit, but if you want integration with your Smart Home, I would look elsewhere. I would have given less than 3 stars, but in all honesty, the camera is a bargain at the price, considering the picture quality and the after-sales service.
