Black Coffee

I enjoyed it!
Good clean romance comedy with just a bit of cursing that I was not offended by as some other reviewers were. I really appreciated that there were no overt sex scenes. There were no sex scenes at all which is rare these days. The segment of the film which follows the bookstore match making scene is way too long and the original song playing is really bad. I hit the skip forward 10 seconds multiple times because I could not bare listening to the song. Good performances by the actors and actresses.

The Details are on point
I must say that I watch this movie at least once a month and each time I notice how much detail that was covered. In particular at the end of the movie, while the three couples joined together for dinner. After they all had greeted each other Christian Keyes reminded us about the drama between he and Nita. He spoke to her kindly yet from a distance and with a tone that showed some growth and hopeful for the future friendship. A split second of a detail but enough to make me say, "wow, the writers really nailed it."

One of the best, most positive movies I've seen all year!
This movie was awesome. Black business owners, roll models, no cursing, people worked out their differences, and fantastic acting. I'm a huge fan of Gabrielle Dennis - she is an amazing actress. I love the roll of the brothers, so many positive images. I hope to see more movies like this.

Great message on collective economics
This romantic comedy keeps you engaged from the beginning. Collective economics and unity is what I found refreshing. Positive messages and images.

Simplicity at it's best
A simple, old-fashioned feel-good movie. Restores your faith in the basic goodness of human beings. You would not be ashamed to show this movie to your grandma. But your teenagers and college aged young'uns would benefit from it the most.

Extremely Enlightening!
Well produced, full of little known facts about the coffee trade, origins of coffee and coffee's place in history. Money well spent for those close to the coffee industry, and those curious about coffee's role in society and history.

Think before your drink!
A real eye-opener about the beverage we love so much. Highly recommended for anyone with a social conscience, or even someone without..

Even if you don't drink coffee this documentary will be one that you talk to your friends about and want to have in your DVD collection!

All bones, no meat
Can't fault the message behind the film, but it's still a weak film nonetheless. You hear the writer clearly preaching, but the film only offers a skeleton with very little meat on the bones to back up the message.
