After trying this system, I'm done with acrylics!!!
I'm a retired nail tech that has used/ worn acrylics for over 30 years. I was low on product but before I reordered more acrylic powder/liquid, I thought I'd research what else was out there. I love a French manicure but it's such a pain to do on yourself. After researching lots of systems, I went with this TP Dipping system. It was simple ( not 5 or 6 steps) and affordable. I ordered on Friday, received it Monday (yesterday). I soaked off my old acrylics ( which takes a while). I then applied nail tips( which Tony's YouTube does not address) and applied a set of TP dipping powder nails. I love the fact I no longer fill my house with the horrible smell of the acrylic monomer, this set was applied MUCH quicker, easier with a great French manicure set!!! This was my first try, so I'll change a few things next time. Next time I think I'll apply, like other systems, applying the first dip on 3/4 of the nail, rather than the whole nail. Secondly, I won't use the enclosed the enclosed file, but rather a smoother file that doesn't scratch up the nail during the final file ( there's plenty of finer grit files out there). And I wouldn't waste my time trying to buff the nails with the shining buffer. To achieve a really shiny finish, apply a coat of the nail dip and a coat of the activator for a really shiny nail. I will never go back to acrylics again! This is a much quicker, more efficient method of creating beautiful nails. I'm so happy I found out about dipping nails. Hope this review helped those of you considering to try dipping powders.UPDATE!!! I still like the product itself, but I've had this kit 4 WEEKS and the brush in the lid of the bottle of activator broke off IN THE BOTTLE. GRRRR! This bottle is necessary to the system and useless now. Not a happy costumer .

THIS IS ACRYLIC
Buyer beware. It is not like the nexgen powder system in the salons. This is ACRYLIC powder. Thats the first ingredient on the container. Its hard to file if you dont have a working drill. And the gel dip goes on thick and sloppy. Its impossible to get thin. I am not happy.

It was so painful and I looked down to see the nail ripped ...
I was not going to write a review until 3 weeks passed; but this morning while trying to stop my dog from running away I hit my middle finger on the door. It was so painful and I looked down to see the nail ripped off but it was perfectly intact. With regular acrylics that would of been long gone and that's why I give this product 5 stars. Along with it being easy to use and reasonably priced I am glad I gave this brand a shot. However, if you suck at putting on nail polish, nail dipping will be hard, but with practice this is the way to go!!

Like the results after much filing
Like the results after much filing. The gel base is much thicker than it appears on the video so you can"t get a thin coat as instructed to do. Sellers reply to my concerns was to keep it in a cool place and it would last forever. It may last but it is still too thick. I hope the problem is only with my bottle. The process is easy, for my first time I think it looks very nice but will have to buy more gel if it thickens any more.

ABSOLUTELY in love with this!!
As a "do it yourself" nail enthusiast I've been eyeballing the dip powders for quite some time. Generally, I've been all about the gel polish for years. My last adventure away from gel was the builder gels and those were an epic fail. But like a giddy girl at christmas I ripped into this and I'm ABSOLUTELY in love with it. Super easy, nearly impossible to mess up and doesn't seem to damage my nails (so far at least lol). The jars you get with the kit are large enough to properly dip your nails and even though 1oz doesn't sound like much, it s definitely enough to do many Many sets. I looks natural on my natural nail, and hardens quite well allowing me to be a bit rougher with my nails without fearing breakage. Not sure how long it holds up, cause I enjoy doing them so much I haven't let the chip yet. My only complaint, which is insignificant I suppose, is in their video it says to shake up the powder, however if you do you will lose quite a bit of powder when you unscrew the lid. Overall, super ecstatic!!! Love it !!!

Love it!
Tried it first time without watching the YouTube video. Was very thick. After watching the video, I learned that I didn't need to apply so many coats like the instructions I received with my kit. The attached photo is my second tried without putting the clear gel over it. I'm sure it would look so much better with it on. I will get better at it as time goes on.

Very pleased. Easy to use.
I have had my acrylic nails done for years. After losing my nail tech, I haven't been real happy with the jobs done since. Finally went out on a limb to try nail dip myself. This is very easy to use lasts the same as acrylic, and if is not right, I have myself to blame and can fix it quickly.

Not so much a gel. It’s much more like acrylic.
I gave a 2-star review for a number of reasons.1. Price. It’s expensive compared to its competitors and after looking at reviews thought I’d be getting a good product.2. Item arrived earlier then expected. +3. I assumed this being a gel dipping system that it would not be thick like acrylic nails. It is very very thick even while attempting to make sure the gel dip is “thin”. Let’s start with that stuff. It appears thin until you put it on. I had a few nails where I put it on and dipped my nail and the powder or the gel (not sure which I’m assuming the gel) made it glop and ended up with big piles/ridges. So off to filing those down before proceeding.4. When everything is said and done the stuff is similar to acrylic not gel. Saying it’s gel is very misleading.5. The amount of filing required is ridiculous. It made my fingernails sore and if I bumped my skin made that raw. Not pleasant.Lastly. When I contacted for a return they accepted it. But I got a message “Watch the video for better results”. I did watch the video, & followed the directions and still had bad results so to assume that I didn’t watch the video because I wasn’t happy with the product is a little much.
