80mm(3.15") Circular Adhesive Plastic Disc/One Side Coated Stick Pad for Suction Cup Items,2pcs

Bought these to replace the adhesive discs for my shower wand. I did not read the directions thoroughly and realized they are not double sided sticky……Only one side is sticky. I’m sure they would work for another application, but not for what I need.

Suction cups don’t work on the tile so I got this. Now I can use suction cup things like a Bluetooth shower speaker. Stays stuck to the wall and it’s not noticeable. Good buy.

I have used before and they worked great. Now I do not know if it is the suction device or these discs?

Needed a plastic disk to allow a suction-cup camera to be installed over the black dots (the "frit", look it up!) at the top of the windshield. The suction-cup could not adhere since the "frit" dots are raised and defeat the attempted attachment. The 3M tape was exceptional and it took lots of elbow-grease to remove all of the extremely tacky tape. However the thin plastic disks bubbled and became distorted in shape after only a few days exposed to the sun which caused the suction-cup mount to fail. Ideally I really needed a much thicker plastic like the ones that came with a portable GPS from several years ago (Garmin I believe). Ended up trying it on another vehicle that has a front clear "tint" thinking it would filter some of the heat but it failed within a weeks time. Just threw both away!

The problem I had was while applying the first "disk", I easily scratched the surface with my fingernail which left a gouge deep enough to affect the seal of the suction cup. I don't have long or sharp fingernails, the plastic is just very soft compared to other plastics I have seen and used for other suction cup mounts that have been similar to this. Since this was a two-pack, I applied the second one being careful not to scratch it. The second one appears to be working as expected. The point of only giving half of the stars is because I was only able to use one of the disks due to the fact it damaged so easily.

I use this for a waterproof clock on slightly textured shower tile and it’s been up for a few months now with no problems. The clock is plastic and weighs next to nothing, so I can’t say if it would hold anything heavier. I cleaned the tile first with comet, a grout brush, AND alcohol, then applied the sticker and let it sit for a week before putting the clock up. Possibly overkill, but it worked.

As advertised, it went on easy after prepping with alcohol. (Rubbing alcohol for the shower wall, scotch for me.) It stuck on easily, & I left it to set overnight, although I'm sure I didn't have to wait that long. It hasn't budged or loosened around the edges. And the suction is great. On the plastic shower enclosure my handheld shower head fell weekly. Not anymore. It hasn't fallen since I put this up. As I said, if only it came in a set of one, because this isn't a kind of thing I can see needing any more of.
