I am AMAZED at how well these work!
I bought a pair of these to help absorb excess moisture in the master bath and guest bath because the air circulation in both is abysmal (even with the built-in ceiling vent fans left running for hours after showering), so mold and mildew are a constant problem, particularly since we live in Florida. I always had decent luck with disposal options (e.g., Damp Rid) in the past, but to me, the disposable ones never looked particularly good and were often difficult to place, and it felt so wasteful to have to chuck them and replace them so frequently. So the fact that the Eva-Dry units were a bit more sleek, could be hung, and were rechargeable/reusable were all HUGE bonuses. But frankly, I was skeptical about how well the Eva-Dry dehumidifiers would actually work. I spent a lot of time perusing both customer reviews and online articles evaluating the best rechargeable mini dehumidifiers, and while Eva-Dry ticked almost every box, I was still a bit iffy when I ordered – particularly given the price point. HOWEVER, after using them for about a month now, I am kicking myself for not ordering them sooner, because they are fantastic!! For the first few days, I definitely thought I noticed a difference in the level of humidity in both bathrooms after showering, but I wasn't sure if that was just a placebo effect. But I soon got the proof I needed: For the past year, I've been using a small plug-in always-on dehumidifier in the master bedroom (which is attached to the master bathroom) to help keep it dryer and cooler at night. Since I started using the plug-in dehumidifier about a year ago, I've had to empty to collection reservoir about twice a week – presumably because the humidity from the master bathroom was seeping into the master bedroom. However, since I started using the Eva-Dry dehumidifier in the master bathroom about a month ago, I haven't had to empty the reservoir on my plug-in dehumidifier even once! In fact, I'm toying with the idea of retiring my old plug-in always-on dehumidifer altogether, because the Eva-Dry unit seems to be collecting all the excess moisture before it ever makes it into the bedroom to begin with. The only thing I don't *love* about the Eva-Dry renewable dehumidifiers is that they take several hours to recharge (almost an entire day), which is mildly inconvenient. However, in my opinion, that's worth the price of admission, because they work extremely well. So far, I've had to recharge my units twice in the last month (once every 2 weeks or so), which seems more than reasonable to me – considering the fact that we live in Florida and often shower twice a day (now that the temp often exceeds 90° every day), I'm honestly surprised that I don't have to recharge them more often! NOTE: I noticed that the units occasionally make a slight "popping" sound when they're recharging, which made me slightly paranoid the first time I had them plugged in, so I moved them to an outlet on a power strip in my office where I could watch them like a hawk just in case. That seems to be a normal part of the charging process though, because I purchased 2 of these and both units do it. It just seems to be a normal part of the renewal process. These also put out a fair amount of heat as they're recharging, but neither of mine got to the point where they were too hot to the touch or anything. BOTTOM LINE: I HIGHLY recommend these! For me, these have worked wonders! And I'll never be going back to the disposable ones – not only do these look better, but they WORK better too, and they're less wasteful to boot. Yes, they cost a little more than the cheap disposable ones, but they cost far less in the long run. LOVE these!!

Worked great for 2 yrs but not working now - UPDATE - Eva-Dry replaced them with 2 new units!
UPDATE - Eva-Dry contacted me immediately after receiving my email. I didn't register my product with them at the time of purchase but they allowed me to complete their warranty form and submit a copy of my Amazon receipt. I received my 2 replacement Eva-Drys in less than 2 weeks. I'm happy to report that they're working perfectly. My shoes no longer make the closet smell like a locker room. I was very impressed with this company's prompt response and communication. ORIGINAL REVIEW - I'm disappointed with the Eva-Dry, Model AE 500 2 pack. They both stopped working after 2 years and won't change from dark green (wet) to yellow (dry) even when plugged in over night. They were almost too hot to touch when I unplugged them this morning. I was using them in 2 small bedroom closets. I originally loved them and they worked great. I reached out to the manufacturer today since there's a 5 year warranty...waiting for a replacement or...

Dehumidifier Unit
Larger than expected and heavier but works well keeping the humidity down. Only negative is recharging the unit; it is so large it falls out of the wall socket; requires utilizing an extension cord on the counter, or floor, to effectively recharge the unit.

Perfect for my RV
I’m using this rechargeable dehumidifier in our RV, and it’s been a great little addition. It helps control moisture in tight areas like the bathroom and closets, especially when we’re in humid climates. I noticed a difference pretty quickly, less condensation, and no musty smells. What I love is that it’s cordless during use and totally silent. Once it’s full, I just plug it in to recharge, and it’s ready to go again in a few hours. No mess, no filters to replace, and nothing to spill. It’s compact enough to tuck anywhere, and super easy to rotate between spots. For RV living, this is a must-have to keep things fresh and dry.

Best dehumidifier hands down for gun cases, small document boxes or other small containers
Been using these for years in my gun safe, horse tack box and other plastic totes with things that need to stay dry. Just remember to check them periodically and plug them in to recharge if they're getting "wet". Also these are 100-240V compatible. I lived in Europe and used with a wall plug adaptors and they work just fine on German 50hz/220v outlets.

Both arrived with moisture windows black, not orange.
Not sure what went wrong with these units but they both arrived with moisture indicator windows black and not orange as they should be. The clear sealing film is still in tact. Either these units somehow were exposed to extreme moisture or the moisture indicator windows are defective. Either way, this is not how they should be.

I like these small dehumidifiers but I noticed about 1 month ago that the crystals are not turning back to orange after heating. The two dehumidifiers I have were purchased about 10 months ago. Therefore I wouldn't recommend this product. Thank you.

I have used this device for several weeks in the car and it eventually fills up with extracted moisture and can be reset. Works reasonably well in mild weather. But, in the cold weather the windows remain permanently fogged on the insides even when the moisture indicator is Orange. So not much use for a car in winter.
