FRYE Women's Jackie Zip Tall Boot

When I opened the box they smell like leather. They are lined in leather and not very stiff. The zipper zips up and down with ease. After reading the reviews I half sized up and I'm glad I did. The foot is narrow just perfect for B. I'm 5' 91/2" tall and the boots are 2" below my patella. My calf is 14" and there is at least 1" extra volume. When I wear a skirt they'll be a tiny bit loose. I tried thick socks and thin socks will be better for all day wear. I wish there was built in cushion. I will have to add a thin cushion. They are a keeper. 4 stars because I have to Doctor the foot bed. Wish they were a bit taller.

Omg, these boots are everything. I was really nervous to purchase them - I don't usually spend much on boots because my high arches and 70 hour work weeks usually mean I can destroy a pair in under three months - but they were soooo pretty and the price was so good, I went for it. And I am so glad. I got my normal size and they fit really well in the sole. The calf is not loose - I measured my calves and they are 14.5" - but I can wear leggings under them, and I think they'll stretch enough for jeans, too. The color is beautiful, and the snap details on the heel and calf are really cool. I put them on the day I got them and promptly worked an 8 hour shift in a restaurant with no discomfort at all - like I'd owned them for years. I hope these can hold up to my abuse, but I won't hesitate to jump on a value from Frye like this ever again.

I like these boots. I purchased the redwood in a size 8, and they fit as expected. Not sure why the color is called redwood - it's a nice warm brown, but no "red" to speak of.It's a little "baggie" around the ankle, so I plan to wear around my house to see if that will relax or be an issue to me.I purchased them for $109 & the next day they went back up to $438 so I'll probably just keep them regardless since I'll probably never find them so cheap again.The heel and back snaps/zip are a nice touch and make the boot more feminine than a lot of Fryes, but still look great with jeans.

Greeted with the smell of quality leather as soon as I opened the box. They look and feel luxurious. They felt great as soon as I slipped them on, however, the back zipper that I thought would be easy to manage was more difficult than I expected. Not only was it very stiff, but the curvature of the boot made the zipper even harder. Plus the side tabs with the raised logo (top and bottom) seemed to catch on my pants leg and skirt hem, and one tab refused to stay snapped. As much as I love Frye boots, these were simply not for me.

Great boots! I like the burnt red color of the leather. Heel is just right. My calves are on the smaller size and the boot shaft is just a bit big for me (as I wold expect) but workable. The only reason a took down a star is that there is some color variability with my pair, more than I would expect, that looks like moisture/water marks. There's an obvious large one on the inside portion of each boot (see pictures)...annoying but not enough for me to return them.

Beautiful boots, I like them a lot and will wear them when I can. The only problem is that they run tight, especially on the calf area. I did have to exchange them for a half size bigger, which helped. I buy a lot of shoes online and this is the first time I had to exchange for size.

Awesome boots. Stylish with a little heel but not too high that they are uncomfortable. A little tight on the back of the leg but they stretch a little after a few wears.

The boots are amazingly comfortable and stylish. They are true to size. Yes, ankle is a little baggy, but not too much and I don't care the space around ankle. Leather quality is great and soft. One thing I don't like about the boots is the zippers are too tough, I may need to put wax on the zippers to get them smoother.

Classic Frye Quality! Leather is great. Make is consistent with the other Frye boots I have. Only thing is the calve area. I’m petite and never had an issue clearing by calves into boots. This pair a struggle a little to zip. It was still comfortable enough to keep. I also got it on a super deal. Love it!
