Full to Queen Converter Rail, Hook-on with 3 Center Supports

Item was well built, sturdy, came with all of the necessary hardware, and was pretty easily assembled. No problems. Gave us a way to continue using our antique head-and-footboard, uprising to a more comfortable queen sized mattress. The only hiccup was that we used a piece of 3/4" plywood as a platform -- even a low profile box support made the mattress sir up too high. Suggest customers make thorough measurements of all components before jumping into this project.

Everything was fairly easy to put together. I did have the same issue that others had with the hook end being bent, and I had to straighten it myself with a hammer on a concrete floor. After that was fixed - no other issues. It worked great other than the bent hook.

Converter brackets would not stay grip fully or lock securely onto pins on headboard and footboard frame slots after multiple attempts. Once assembled as per instructions, unit was not sturdy, and kept falling away from headboard and footboard with minimal pressure to unit, causing us to doubt whether its ability to support a mattress and the guests who would be using the bed. As a result, it needed to be returned.

We've been using this for a while now and no problems. This is the perfect solution for adapting a vintage full-size frame as we did. Easy to assemble and sturdy. WIth the bed linens, you can barely notice that the wooden frame is a bit short. So glad that we purchased this cost efficient option.

package arrived damaged with some of hardware missing. replacements were sent but it took a couple of weeks. It doesn't fit my headboard and footboard perfectly but we'll make it work. The bed is over 70 years old, that may be the problem.

Be aware: bolts are suppose to be sent in the hardware package but instead there are wood screws. The wood screws do NOT work when trying to attach the retainer brackets to the side rails, and do NOT work when trying to attach the center cross arms to the side rails. I called the Homeplace support center and was told I would have to go out and get nuts that fit the wood screws or go out and get the correct bolts and nuts to fit. I was advised I could just have the box spring lay on the unattached bar. Huh ????? Unless you want to go out and get additional hardware. avoid this item.

this item works great for my grandmother’s bed she went to housekeeping after marriage. So glad there was something we found to make bed bigger and not tear up the integrity of bed.
