If your already familiar with IBS, this is an awesome cookbook
I ordered three IBS Cookbooks and this one is my second choice only because The Elimination Diet' by Alissa Segersten and Tom Malterre, MS, CN lays out a 28 day plan that takes out most of the thinking planning process. Pros of The Quick and Easy IBS Relief Cookbook:1. Good paper quality, not glossy pages2. Only has 23 pages of educational background (if you're already familiar with it, this is a bonus)3. I do LOVE that it has substitutions/tips written at the bottom of the recipe as some of the recipes supplied are not GERD or IBS-C friendly.4. It has nutritional facts listed at the bottom of each recipe:Cons of The Quick and Easy IBS Relief Cookbook1. it lacks pictures (has one picture per section) and I eat with my eyes. Of the three books, none of them really had pictures and this one may have had the most. (This is the reason I gave it 4 stars)

Great recipes
As someone who has IBS, I think this book offers great recipes. This book also offers great substitutions, in regards to what specific IBS you have. I’ve made many of the recipes already, I love it!

Great gift to give someone with colitis!
My friend was recently diagnosed with colitis after many months of experiencing terrible gastro-intestinal symptoms. She was so discouraged when she learned which foods she cannot eat. Treatment involved learning a whole new way to cook for her family. I bought her this cookbook and she was greatly cheered up after trying out some of the delicious meals and learning about this special diet.

A FABULOUS cookbook
Having had IBS for 35 years, it was not until recently I decided to explore the Low FODMAP diet. I never realized what a turn my life would take. However, being vegetarian, the IBS book I already owned had no recipes of interest. This book, other than the section on meat, has the most amazing recipes that I cannot wait to try. After reading them, I did not find one that didn't interest me. I LOVE this book and it will be my cooking bible. Forgot to mention that it also has several pages of helpful info on starting my journey. Thank you so much for this invaluable work.

Double check the recipe ingredients if you’re on the FODMAP diet
This book has some good quick recipes with comments to accommodate certain digestive issues and/or allergies (such as acid reflux/GERD or peanut allergies). However, I purchased the book hoping it would have more FODMAP friendly recipes and I noticed that a handful of the recipes include high FODMAP ingredients (as listed on my FODMAP app and resource from my doctor). Just a note to those that need to follow the FODMAP diet strictly for health reasons - make sure to double check the ingredients and whether they are on your FODMAP list.

Amazing book for gastrointestinal desorders
I love this book. It is so helpful and doesn't feel overwhelming. Following this recipes it's more easy than anything I have seen and it gives you tips if you need to change something in the recipe. Buy this book.

Some good tips but recipes focus on gluten free
I love the charts of what to eat and what not to eat but the recipes are very gluten free based and contradict the can and can’t eats for example says to avoid garlic yet tell you to use homemade garlic oil which has crushed garlic in it. A bit confusing for someone starting their IBS journey

Not impressed.
Would certainly not recommend this book. Could hardly find any recipes I would like. I should have read all the reviews as I had not realised it was an American author, because I would not have purchased it.
