No it should not damage concrete.

Q: Can you cook s'mores with this?

Yes. We just used the pellets we cook with. We used Apple and Oak pellets. It worked really well.

Q: Can you use this under a patio cover with an 8 foot ceiling?

That would depend on what your cover is made of. My cover has a metal roof, I still watch it very close. Pit Boss will probably recommend against it.
