It's surprisingly hard to find light socket electrical adapters that are 3-prong. I presume that's because you don't want to take the chance that the light socket you are screwing it into isn't actually grounded. I bought this to plug in a garage door opener, where the cord would reach only a nearby light socket and not an actual outlet. Its cord was 3-prong. Was very happy to find this, and now I don't have to drape an extension cord along the garage.

Installation was extremely easy. All you have to do is take off the light bulb and replace it with this light socket plug adapter and then turn on the switch. I had to buy this to convert my balcony light into a socket since I don't have an electrical outlet outside my balcony. I bought an outdoor LED string lights to serve as a decorative light in my balcony and I needed a socket to plug it in. This is the least inexpensive way to do it without hiring an electrician. I recommend this product to anyone interested in converting their light into a socket. There are so many uses for this.

These are great for my halloween decor. I Installed a projector outside on my front porch and it withstood the harsh weather of the desert. Easy to install. Fits most ligthbulb sockets. it works great for what i needed. It is sturdy piece of equipment. Good quality.

I wanted more light in my pantry and decided to install LED strip lighting. I didn't have an outlet inside the pantry and wanted to operate the LEDs with the existing wall switch. I sacrificed one of the overhead bulbs to use this screw-in outlet and it works perfectly. My only complaint is there is a 1/2 second delay from hitting the wall switch to the LEDs coming on, which I suspect may be caused by using this outlet, but that's my only small complaint. The reason I suspect it's the outlet causing the delay is because when the power is on and I use the LED remote, the lights come on immediately.

I love these kind of stuff to make my job easier at the jobsite to whatever I was doing in terms of more light, and I'll suport you 100%

My garage door opener light was seriously inadequate. I bought this so I could install a better light when the garage door is activated. Unscrew the weak lightbulb, screw this into the now empty socket, plug in a cord with a pre installed light bulb socket, mount the socket where I please, plug the new light fixture in and voilà much better light. Total job took about 15 minutes before breakfast. Very satisfied.

DANGEROUS PRODUCT—DO NOT USE! E26 Light Socket to Plug Adapter (LSPA) Return it, do not use it. Problem 1: The ground connection on the female side of the item (LSPA) is open and Not connected to any ground. This results in an open ground receptacle. You think you have a good, grounded receptacle, but you DO NOT. Again, it is an OPEN GROUND and dangerous to use. The item (LSPA) is not safety tested by UL, and not UL Listed. Problem2: The hot and neutral are reversed! Amazon Safety & Recall Department, please look into this item and others that you sell.
