Hummustir: Organic Hummus, Classic. Fresh Hummus, Anytime, Anywhere.

I was hoping this would be ready to eat but after reading reviews it seems like I need to add more spices and oil to make it taste better. It is very creamy but quite bland even with salt, pepper, garlic powder and paprika added

Almost as good as my local Mid East restaurant, perhaps Hummustir could develop some those fresh hot pita bread my restaurant serves with their Hummus. The texture is very smooth and flavor excellent and I am anxious to try some of the other flavors.

I first bought Hummustir at a local supermarket and was attracted to it because of the simple, fresh ingredients it contained. Was a bit perplexed because I found it on a shelf and not in the refrigerated isle. Came home and followed the simple instructions. All you do is stir the chickpea puree, seasoning and tahini (cute wooden spoon included and each ingredient in it's own freshness sealed package). I am very picky about my hummus because I am garlic intolerant and this is the only hummus I have seen out there that you can find without garlic ( I bought the classic; however, there are more varieties). I was more than surprised at the taste and freshness. It was truly amazing. My husband and kids loved it. Once you stir (forgot to mention, you do this in the same container. Therefore, nothing to clean and easy enough to prepare at work, or on the go- MESS FREE). If you have any left over, you can store it in the refrigerator for up to four days. Honestly, it will be gone way before because it is that good.It is not easy to find, so after looking in a few grocery stores, I decided to order from Amazon. The beauty is that you prepare it when you need it and all you do is mix and VOILA!!! HUMMUS SERVED.

Doesn’t taste like any store-bought hummus I’ve ever tried. A bit complicated to mix, but if you’re desperate for hummus, you might like it, I guess.

It's great for travelling. I will add lemon juice. A bit salty so I will not put all the salt that came with it. I may want more garlic flavor; I will carry garlic powder for this.

Personally, I like my hummus very plain. The concept of this product allows me to mix the main ingredients (chickpea spread and tahini) but then only add whatever basic spices I like - for me that's lemon juice, salt and pepper (I throw out the spice packet). I'm very happy with this product since I don't have the hassle of having to prepare the chickpeas in a blender, which can be a nuisance and make a mess. Also, I learned from a friend that in order to make hummus properly, the casing/skin of each individual chickpea must be removed, and I'm not going to waste my time doing that. Maybe that's why my home-made hummus never had the consistency I was accustomed to from Turkish restaurants and finished products. Thank you Baruvi for saving me a lot of work!

Probably the worst tasting product I have been involved with

I happened to stumbled upon the brand Hummustir on Instagram, as it grew in popularity. I decided to order it on a whim, as I'm quite the hummus fan. However, I'm also incredibly picky when it comes to food, so I did have my reservations about this product. Needless to say, I was pleasantly surprised when I had my first taste of the classic hummus--creamy, smooth, and reminiscent of homemade, natural hummus. I love how this is organic, contains no harsh preservatives or unpronounceable ingredients/additives, and stays well when refrigerated. I like to add a dash of turmeric and ground black pepper to add to the classic's flavor profile. All in all, well worth trying, and I'm officially converted to making my own hummus with the help of Hummustir!
