Good as a LED light and pantry moth zapper
I gave it 3 stars instead of 4 because it does not seem to have UL rating. I have not had a problem with mosquitoes but had some pantry moths. I cleaned out the kitchen but could not get rid of the last moths. I left this lamp running day and night and made sure it was the only light in a dark room. Sure enough it got all the remaining moths. This is a "bug zapper" but is different than the traditional ones. There are many models of bug zappers that when a bug enters the grid you hear a zap. With this one the grid voltage is about 800 volts instead of thousands of volts. There is no zapping sound but when the bug enters the grid the 800 volts is enough to zap them. It gets the job done as a bug zapper but also is an LED light. It is possible to use the light and zapper together. Each time you cycle the lamp of and on it changes from only LED to both to zapper only. I bought the Vicksune as well as the iHomy. They both seem to work with similar performance and both zapped the small moths. I'm posting the same review for both products since they seem to have the same performance and quality.Update 8/20/2019: This lamp has been on 24/7 for about a year now and it is still functioning. When I check the lamp, I find multiple pantry moths that have been zapped and need to be brushed off into the trash. I have found, though that the lamp does not attract and zap every moth so I see an occasional moth flying. I have to rate this lamp as only partially effective in performance. I still give it four stars because it still zaps quite a few moths.

as an LED light it works great. as a bug zapper it sucks
the only way to get the bug zapper to work and not the LED light is to barely screw it into the socket.if you don't screw it enough in, then you hear a buzzing from the electricity trying to connect which is a safety issue....and if you screw it more tightly, then the LED light comes on.as an LED light it works great.as a bug zapper it sucks. it killed nothing.,i have a solar panel operated bug zapper that works 100s of times better and uses no electricity and has a switch to go from bug zapper, LED light or both.don't waste your money on this.and it is not UL approved either.... so it may catch on fire and burn your house down.

Not Defective As I First Thought
It definitely works as intended. Very bright white LED light. Kills bugs around door on outside porch (covered porch as it is not waterproof). Only four stars due to no clear instructions as to how to change from light/zapper mode to zapper mode only, as evidenced by all the questions asking how to change it. When the seller states turn switch off then on again to change from one mode to another he/she is not talking about an actual switch on the product, he/she is referring to turning the wall/lamp switch off and then on again. Works fine then in changing from one mode to another. I almost returned it as defective. Glad I kept it, however, it may behoove the seller to include clear and concise instructions as to how to change from the light/zapper mode to zapper mode only.

Didn't kill bugs just attracted more.......
This product didn't work for me. I had more living bugs around my front porch/front door area than ever before. I thought light was supposed to help kill them not just attract them. When it was time to replace light it just crumbled into pieces in my had and all over porch. I had to get pliers to get rest out. Had high hopes for this but was let down.

Don't waste your money
Sent to us from China. Poorly packed. 1/2 broken. The tops come off easily. The ones which worked did not last long and appeared to have negliable effect. Sometimes you make a mistake buying on line. This was a mistake we will not make again. Avoid these bulbs. Conceptually great; functionally extremely poor.

I ended up returning the two I got because they ...
I ended up returning the two I got because they didn't work as advertised; that they would work as a light only, as a zapper only, or as both at the same time. I wanted something that would deal with insects in a bedroom at night, but the ones I got were both functions at the same time and either on or off. I could have a bug zapper IF I could accept having a bright light on in the bedroom all night.

Nothing more then a Cool low light bulb with non functional blue light above
Put this up, thinking it might attract mosquitoes, all it is is a very faint white white with a blue light "zapper" don't see any mosquitoes or bugs being attracted to this small blue light zapper area, I put it somewhere where there were many bugs, didn't find any dead bugs at all don't really recommend this product don't see its usefulness besides being a cool product

I put a white tray underneath and there are sooooo many dead bugs that look like mosquitoes.
It silently kills bugs! at least the little ones..... I put a white tray underneath and there are sooooo many dead bugs that look like mosquitoes.. I read they may be minges not mosquitoes. Even though they do not bite that have the buzz of a mosquito so you don't know ..... sorry they should die........ so I know when I hear the buzz I need to spray...... I did not get that you have to turn it off and on at the light switch to switch off the white light....... Well worth the price as I have thrown out numerous big expensive zappers because the zap was too loud to leave on in the house.......... I plan to order another for inside the house to leave on all the time!
