I got this for my teenager who was reading these in school and wanted a copy for at home... Good book!

Includes all the types of stories for which Poe is acclaimed. This includes the detective etories, the horror stories as well as those that are moralistic..

This is my first reading of any of Poe's work. Being familiar with "The Raven" since high school, I must admit that I haven't read it in its entirety (yet).Sometimes difficult to read with the interjection of Latin, French or Italian phrases that sent me looking to my translator, makes reading his stories somewhat laborious. if you get by this, his writings are enjoyable.At times during my reading of Poe, my mind wandered and I thought I was reading Stephen King.

The book has tiny print and the cover is nothing like what is shown. I am not super happy with it, bur you get what you pay for.

I love his writing style. Poe's writing is some of the most descriptive ever written. Bought this for my son for a teen literature study and he doesn't like Poe's dark and creepy feeling, but that's the way with Poe. Most either love or dislike intensely. LOL
