ClarksStainless Steel Derailleur Cable

I found that you can use the bike as a cable stretcher by installing the cable, shifting the gears while riding it around a bit then re-tightening until the chain guide does its job again.

I used this to replace my cable in my Trek hybrid bike that is 4 years old. To my surprise, the rear cable was rusty--not a suprise that upon replacement with the Clarks that shifting was much more consistent. I reused the housing but may change that in another 3 years when I redo the cables again.

I Plan on switching all my cables over to these. They are of Excellent quality. I highly recommend them The characteristics of stainless steel make them excellent material for using as cables on a bike.

The cable is fine. Works well so far. Delivery was a little slow, a few days after promised.

Great price and very well built. I would say these are the very close to the quality of the shimano cables I replace on most my mountain bikes for a fraction of the cost of a shimano one.

Stainless wire makes the shifting smooth and long lasting. Just one of those necessities when you run in rain, mud and sand.

i like the Clarks products. I use their brake pads and brake and shifter cables. this cable will stretch - mine went one month for about 350 miles then one day the up shifting just quit working. i could feel the cable had acquired some slack, so i readjusted it at the anchor bolt and now its good again.
