Very entertaining read!
This was one of the most interesting coffee table books I've read. I find that a lot of auto related books are highly technical, talking about every nut, bolt, angle, and engineering aspect of the car. This book is more about storytelling, and it has plenty of them! You'll find yourself getting to know the people involved, because it paints a picture. It talks about how bb started off with just repairing sports cars, then moved up to customizing cars. It talks about how they teamed up with Polaroid for marketing purposes. It talks about the CW 311 and how they narrowly escaped a lawsuit by putting the Mercedes logo on the front. It talks about how bb had many cars used in the movie Car-napping and how they got all those Porsches involved. I could go on and on, but the stories are there. It's not a very long book, and it doesn't into that much technical detail. It makes sense though, since bb was not about powertrain customizations. If you're an engineer looking for highly technical detail, you won't find much of it here.I feel the book could have been a bit longer. It seems they could have had even more stories than they already had. If there is any downside to this book, that's the only one I can think of. Other than that, it is a very entertaining read. You will learn a lot, and you will enjoy doing it!

Different
Given the hundreds of books on Porsche it cant be easy to come up with something different but its been achieved here. "bb" creations might not be to everybody's taste ( not mine actually) but the development of the company and its founder makes really interesting reading and the illustrations take you right back to the 70's , 80's and 90's. This is not to suggest this is just a coffee table book - it seems to be pretty informed to me although i don't profess to be any sort of "bb" expert. I should also say that the book deals with bb work with other marques, it just that back in the day, it was always the Porsche cars I remember.
