Rustic Wooden Dough Bowl-Batea-Extra Long-Natural

I have a large island and was looking for something to place down the center. Mostly decorative, but also to hold fruit and vegetables. I searched in stores, and online. They were either too small or too expensive. When I found this one I did not hesitate to buy it. I am very happy with my decision!I love the color, the size, and the rustic style. Just to give you an idea about the size, the island is big, but even the laptop in the photo looks small next to this bowl.I received mine yesterday, and I have already sent the link to a friend, so she can buy one too.I know a few people have said their bowl arrived broken. Mine arrived in perfect condition and faster than expected.Love, love, love it!

This is a beautiful and very large dough bowl at an awesome price, even with the added shipping cost. While I am sure every one of these varies somewhat due to their handmade nature, mine looks virtually identical to the photo in the listing. Because I was going to be using mine for fresh food, I cleaned it very well with a spray cleaner and a terry towel and then coated it inside and out with a food-safe oil. I then used it as the focal point of a large antipasto table I made for a rustic Italian wedding reception. It was absolutely beautiful, and I received many compliments on this magnificent piece. I have since used it for another wedding reception--everyone is always impressed.

I was a little concerned the bowl wouldn't be deep enough for my needs, but the seller found one that was a little deeper than most. Love how my project turned out!UpdateA few days later 4 cracks developed on the outer edges of the bowl. Ranging from a half to one inch. I do not think this at all due to quality but more to the weight I have in it. As long as no others develop, it's just added character. I just wanted to mention in case someone was planning to use for what I did.

When I got home and looked at the unopened box on my porch I was thinking ‘holy cow, I hope that is just a lot of packing in that box and this bowl is not that big’ Then I unpacked it and it was indeed that big. I really thought I am going to have to return it but once I filled it with the decoration and put it on my table it was just right! I love it and will likely seal it and use it as an appetizer platter for parties. Very nicely looking solid wood, hand carved. Makes a wonderful present too!

This long bowl is very versatile and attractive. I put several flowering small plants (in their pots) in the bowl and have received many compliments. The rectangular bowl is very large so plan where you will put it. Could be great for serving food as parties as well as just general decor. Mine is on my dining room table and looks great. Everyone who has seen it makes a favorable comment.

Sadly I didn’t get a photo of this on display for Thanksgiving. I looked at a lot of bowls like this online and the prices were outrageous. This bowl is beautifully rustic and was perfect for my needs. The price point was a bonus. It is very long FYI but it was still perfect. I will use this piece throughout the year. Quick ship as well.

I love this bowl!! It arrived on time and exactly like picture. Well maybe not exactly as pictured since it is hand made and items like that do have slight deviations. Looks and feels just like it's expensive companion from Pottery Barn, without the price!

This is by far one of my favorite finds in amazon! What a statement piece! Everyone that comes to my house calls in love with it! Is hugeeee! A lot larger than I was expecting which I love. Makes my kitchen look like a tropical market! I just can’t get enough.
