These were smaller than I expected them to be, and I found myself usually using the taller of the 8. I had a hard time making pieces that worked with the shorter of the 8 and being able to keep my actual pottery stuck on the wheel. They are definitely as described, sturdy. I like that they do not rust and are easy to clean. They are, however quite sharp and I had to be very careful on more than one occasion. I found myself wrecking many pieces because they cut into or I accidentally gauged my pieces trying to figure out the best way to handle each one. I also found that due to the sharpness of the material, each piece took off a lot of clay (which, in my case, wasn’t a necessarily bad thing cos I’m still learning and many of my pieces are still really thick at the bottom). I also throw on a kick wheel and it is metal, so hearing the scraping of metal on metal isn’t pleasant. It was $10, I got a few good pieces, but I will be looking elsewhere for something more to my liking and needs.

These are tiny shards of metal. 5 of 8 of the “ribs” can barely be held in the hand they are so small. I’m not even going to factor in wet or muddy hands. I should have known better with such a cheap price.

Perfect for the small vases I’m making

I didn't expect them to be so small, I guess I will be making coffee cups for little fairies. I will give them a go, but I don't have high expectations.

Extremely difficult to use - need a video on how to use as have ruined so many pots. They are very thick inflexible metal and gouge your pots in an instant. I can’t work out how to use them - would return but was in hospital and recovering and did not get to use for a couple of months so out of time to return. Would not advise buying until they show a video on his to use!

The profile ribs scrape away too much clay, and chatter against the surface as you try to push the clay into the form. They’re also way too small for anything useful.

These are not a user friendly tool. Very difficult to get the shape without ruining your piece.

The tools are very sharp and very cutting, I had to use very very fine sandpaper to smooth the blades and there were places where the blades were uneven; I have not yet used

Great as described was expecting them to be a little taller to throw larger pots. All good they will be perfect for small pots.
