The Skin and Coat Chews Made a BIG Difference!
I switched my one-year-old terrier mix to the Skin and Coat Chews, and the difference in his coat is remarkable. In just one week, I can see that his fur is much softer. We adopted our rescue dog about five months ago and immediately knew he was allergic to his chicken kibble. He was scratching constantly, even after a good oatmeal bath. We changed him to Open Farms Epic Salmon kibble and another well-known dog skin and coat supplement, and he stopped scratching right away, although his fur still felt a bit wiry when I petted him, which I thought was just normal for him, but I was wrong. Last week, when I ran out of his old supplement, I switched him over to Open Farms Skin and Coat Chews, and after only a week, his fur is much softer all over. I love the brand, and now my dog and cat are enjoying it too.

Best Probiotics for your Pup!
Those are by far the best Probiotics to give to your pup to rebuild and strengthen the gut balance. With aging(now12yo) my dog’s digestion became rather complex, plus he developed food allergies. Needless to say, at some point it became a science to me to find out what will work for him. I figured it out and changed his entire diet. I added these Probiotics, of which he still gets one a day, every day. He is about 40lbs. Works!

Ingredients and basic info listed (because manufacturer didn't include)
Orange Probiotic - Start slowly: Label suggests beginning with half the daily dose for a few days to avoid loose stools, then increasing to the full amount (I missed this at first). - Strains: 7 probiotic strains — Lactobacillus acidophilus, L. casei, L. plantarum, L. reuteri, Bifidobacterium bifidum, B. lactis, and Bacillus coagulans. - Potency: 2 billion CFU per chew (multiply by number given — see weight chart in photos). - Ingredients: Includes pumpkin and sweet potato for fiber, but no “true” prebiotics; no chicken, wheat, corn, or soy; no artificial flavors or preservatives. - Texture & size: Soft chew format; my dog eats them willingly as treats. Easy to break in half if needed (about ½-inch high, <¾-inch wide/deep). - Efficacy: Too early to say. My dog was on antibiotics for 13 days after a minor procedure, which caused appetite loss and loose stools. I started these the day after finishing antibiotics. While they may be helping, it’s only been a little over a week, and it can take 2–3 weeks for the GI tract to stabilize after antibiotics. - Final note: It drives me crazy when manufacturers don’t post the basic details about their own online. It's like they don't want to sell to customers afraid it's all marketing or worried about ingredients. So here you go, everyone.

Revised - don’t give up - My dog wasn’t a fan at first - now eats them as treats!
I was super excited thinking this was the answer to my dog’s sensitive stomach issues. Unfortunately, my dog doesn’t like them. The only way he eats them is if I hide them in his food and they are covered with other flavors (I.e. peanut butter, gravy, etc). The extras probably don’t help any stomach issues 😞. REVISED: Don’t give up! After about four days of sneaking them in with peanut butter or gravy, he started to eat them without any extra flavor. Lately, he has been eating them alone as treats! I can already see the positive change is his stomach sensitivity and his poop consistency.

Cleared up her ear issue
One of my dogs had very itchy ear and was.shaking her head all of the time trying to ease the itch. Started both dogs on the open farm probiotics and she has stopped shaking her head and seems very healthy

A high quality probiotic that gives a real boost to canine health
I went on a probiotic myself about a year ago and had such positive results, I chose this one for my pup. It's had a clear positive affect in her digestion and for those with skin issues, this is very likely to help as well. So many problems with the body begin in the gut, and immunity and skin, heart, and brain health are just a few that benefit by creating a healthy biome. Along with quality food from Open Farm, I hope to maximize my pup's life and health and will be making these tasty bites a part of the program for the duration.
