Fits beautifully in 2016 Subaru Outback
I have bought and discarded three other brands; they were flimsy, positioned poorly for safe viewing, blocked my view or essential instruments/vents, and/or would not grip a tablet at all. It was quite difficult to loosen the seat bolt, but once done, the installation of this tablet mount was easy. The arm and cradle hold a tablet steady enough to read easily, but it jiggles enough to make it difficult to tap the screen while the car is moving. The position of the tablet is very good; I can glance at it as easily as I can view the dashboard screen, or it can be swiveled so that the passenger can see and use it. It's important to note that the mount and tablet do not interfere with either dashboard instruments or the passenger seat. Another reviewer noted that a tablet in the horizontal position blocked the gearshift and cup holder in the center console in his Subaru Outback. I'm pleased to report that the 2016 Outback has a wider center console, and the tablet does not block anything (see photo). It slightly interferes only with access to one of the A/C knobs and the cell phone tray. Now two complaints. The ad said that this model will hold up to a 7-inch tablet. Curse the deceptive sellers who, decades ago, established the diagonal as the measurement of TV and video screens. The iPad Air is 7" wide, but it's officially a 10" tablet, so the cradle of this model will not hold it. I called product support, and the courteous rep told me that I needed a TAB001 cradle. I ordered the replacement part, and it fit the existing cradle mount. Problem two: The claws on the cradle are barely long enough to grip a tablet that has an easel/handle fixed to the back (see photos). Probably won't hold a tablet with a protective case either. It has held during the two weeks since I installed it, but I think it will jar loose on rough roads. But overall I like this product very much - almost 5 stars.

Does the job well, but not perfect
Got this to hold my Nexus 7 tablet for road trips. I screwed it into the floor, as my seat bolts weren't accessible; both mounting methods are provided for in the package. The arm is stiff and holds position very well. I was worried that it might bend around as I was using the tablet, but it held fast. The gripper arms to actually hold the tablet slide into grooves in the bracket; I wish they were a little more solid. They do the job though. There are four "short" arms and four "long" arms that can be used to accommodate slightly different sized tablets. I used two "short" and two "long" for mine, so I essentially have a backup set if I happen to break one. The bracket that holds the tablet is spring loaded and holds the tablet firmly. Two things I'd like to see different, but are not show-stoppers for me: I'd like some sort of disconnect at the floor bracket. That way I can remove the arm when it's not in use. The other thing I'd like is for the tablet bracket to be a little more like the bracket for my cell phone. It ratchets closed to grip the phone and then springs open when I press a button on the back of the bracket. It holds the phone firmly, but is easier to remove the phone. The arms holding the phone also seem a little more robust. If those two things could be modified on this setup, I'd award 5-stars.

Think creatively and you can mount your tablet anywhere
This product arrives with a car seat bolt attachment, but I decided not to install it in the car. The gooseneck (an aluminum pipe) is so difficult to bend that it seemed like mounting a spear aimed at my passenger's chest. Instead, I attached an old spring clamp that I had lying around by drilling two holes in the clamp and attaching the gooseneck using the screws and nuts from the seat bolt attachment. With a squeeze, the spring clamp can be moved to a nightstand, counter, or desk so I can watch or read without holding my tablet. The multiple shapes and sizes of grips are sturdy enough to hold a 7" tablet face down without any wiggling or threat of dropping the tablet to the ground. Are there any drawbacks? Only two minor ones that do not diminish the overall value: (1) the gooseneck holds its shape quite well, but that's because the pipe is very difficult to bend unless you have strong hands or a vice, (2) the grips hold a 7" tablet very securely, even in its case, even face down, but will not hold a phablet-sized phone. The grips are too large to hold a phablet-sized phone in landscape mode, too small to hold it in portrait mode. It would have been a nice bonus if the product could hold my tablet or phone, but that's not the product's fault - it arrived as advertised. The ball joint looks like a standard size and could easily be swapped out with a smaller grip attachment.I plan to buy a couple more and give them away as gifts after attaching spring clamps.

Only for iPad mini and smaller, but a VERY nice mount.
I expected a "bathroom makeup mirror" style neck when I ordered this mount, but I was surprised by a solid steel neck! Even so this is easy to mount and bend into the position desired. It has a bit of vibration issue if not used with the reinforcing clamp provided, but this is due to the 2 foot long (approximate) neck and not a design flaw. The adjustable mount head is quite sturdy with 2 different installable arms included for larger or smaller devices. The instructions are a bit lacking, but it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure it out. A couple different heavy duty mounts are included for multiple mount / angle configurations. It easily mounted to the passenger seat bolt in my 2003 Mercury Grand Marquis and bent to exit between the seats and cup holder / ashtray where I wanted it. My Amazon Fire HD8 fit snugly with the smaller of the mount arms, and runs the "Tourqe Pro" app reading from my Bluetooth OBD2 adapter nicely. This was accomplished by loading Google Play Store and downloading Torque Pro (Shh... This is a Secret!). Overall this is a good mount that will hold anything from an iPad mini, down to the diminutive iPhone 4, and look good doing it.
