Exquisite, just absolutely Exquisite.
Music and sound with wordscapes often lead to sad and depressing places, but this piece can take me to where I wish, occasionally, I could be.And I wonder... how nice it would be to play the Cello or piano and have this lovely woman singing such provocations so near to me in the prime of my youth. This lady is peer to Tina Dico of Zero 7. The men are real musicians.Bravo, Bravo, Bravo

Very clean sound, sounds like a studio version
I love this current line-up of Hooverphonic. Noémie was a crazy great find for them (I wonder just how coincidental it was actually...she just showed up for auditions huh? riiiiight! ha). So this album is a joy; they tweak the songs away from the studio albums in ways that give a new experience.I like all their albums but you can't go wrong buying this as a first exposure to the band; in fact it's probably more traditional lyrics and full sound than some of their earlier works where they seemed to do a lot more experimenting...e.g., You are my autoharpI push every button on your bodyI push the a minor, the e flat, the f majorAnd especially the c sharp 7no autoharp metaphors on this album ;D

Love it!
After "The Night Before" I wasn't quite sure of Noémie, but now that I've heard her handle Geike's songs quite ably, even sounding so much alike Geike at times, I fell in love. I was expecting this CD to be filled with too much grand orchestral sounds, but it turned out to be a cool little "best of" kind of disc with a few updated tune-ups to the classics to make them sound more in line with where Hooverphonic are now, sonically.Absolutely intriguing and I am glad Noémie has been able to expand her vocal range into the high notes. Just an awesome CD.

Better
Like the blend of new songs with old Hooverphonic songs.Jackie Cane & George's Cafe work with 2 Wicky, Mad About You and Eden.I think the next release will be awesome.

One of the best albums in the history of music
This is one of the best albums in the history of music. It somehow effectively combines, in a completely seamless fashion, a great number of genres, from mainstream classical music to Jazz and modern rock music. The female singer's voice is nothing short of extraordinary. The songs do not only reflect the deepest human emotions, but the lyrics are beautiful and sophisticated. Each individual song is a jewel. I will leave it up to the mainstream contemporary music critics to explain why this album did not become a number one hit album globally. It certainly deserves that status! A timeless masterpiece.

Bellissimo
